O’Riley is definitely better in the 6 with Alex in the box to box role, we look more balanced.

It reminds me a bit of when Brown was injured in 2018/19 and we had a midfield of McGregor Christie and Rogic and we had a really decent spell of form

I don't really see the parallel here. What's made the difference over the past couple of games is our finishing. The chances have always been there we just weren't taking them. But it's a credit to Andre, Matt, Reo and Saed that our ability to create chances hasn't dipped too much while Cal is out. That we are now converting them is even better.

The control of the game to give they players a platform is credit to Mooy and especially O’Riley.

Mooy though, you can tell his experience majorly, and him being moved up from a 6 to one ahead, has let him shine on the ball. And it’s gave Hatate a platform to shine as well, Hatete’s been everywhere, but Mooy’s plugged the gaps behind him when he has done that, and he’s often supplied the pass that’s putting people in areas to do damage.

In a different way, because he’s more a classy passer, but with his positioning, it reminds me of Broony. Always in the right position, always picking the right option.

I think with everybody fit and players like Abildgaard and Mooy fully up to speed, it won't be a case of Mooy Vs Turnbull, but rather Mooy and O'Riley splitting time in that more advanced 8 role as Ange tends to sub that position on 60 mins, and Turnbull competing with Hatate for the other more box-to-box role. This was the case second half of last season, just with Rogic instead of Mooy.

McGregor will of course play most of the minutes at the 6 with Abildgaard and McCarthy coming in when required. As for Ideguchi, at the moment it seems like it'd take an injury crisis for him to get any real opportunity.

If he keeps this up he’d be really unfortunate to lose his place.

Thought he was ok today but that howler of a miss that nobody appears to be working on their finishing as we are so wasteful in front of goal.

He cannot handle these intense games. His miss was one of the worst I've seen in a while.

Needs upgraded on in the summer.

Played his part today with 2 got the assist and the strike for Maeda..

So slow in the battle though. No the game to be having Mooy in in my opinion at a fats paced game at Tynecastle..

    Did enough in the end..

Agree with ye 100%,alrite every so often he,ll do something decent(to be expected from a professional player)but over all the guy is nowhere good enough to be playing for celtic, imo if we had a new manager tomorrow we would never see mooy again.

Needs to be quicker on the ball when he gets it. Turns and there's a man on him and no good enough off it..

    Can he improve there?

He definitely has his uses. His passing is impressive but more for game's we're no pressed high and comfortable..

Tynecastle against a team of rabid huns on a tight park is never, ever the game for him. That in itself is the problem.

Something about him I just really can’t take to him.

When you're only useful when your team is cruising and comfortable then sorry but you're not useful. That should be standard criteria for any professional player at any level.
