Ange's system clearly works we very clearly however, do not have and won't have, the finishers of a level required to utilise it as they are financially out of our reach.

Unless we somehow spring a mad gem and develop a thorough and exhaustive scouting system

Long gone are the nights we actually competed in European games especially at home. It used to be a fortress when we played some of the BIG teams

A special mention for the ref who looked at var when they shouted but ignored our shout and have them a foul nearly every time they hit the deck

The whole problem here is we continue taking * TV contract offers from sky who gives us a pittance in money which in turn affects us buying better quality of player .
Scotland TV money over the last few years has fallen dramatically compared to other countries even Norway get £60 million a year in TV money .
Sky is the Frankenstein monster who have made English teams successful in Europe with the money they offer and we will continue to fail while Doncaster and company remain in place and taking these * sky TV contracts .

At the beginning of the season we were putting 2 or 3 chances away in first half of games. All be it in the SPFL. However, that gave us a cushion to then play our game. For some reason we are struggling to put the ball in the net and there's a few injuries and players bereft of confidence. We don't take our chances and we are getting punished. It's frustrating as *!!

I can see a win in Madrid. They'll be first and play kids.

We'll loose the other game though.

Said it before, but these lads need to be kept on the training ground just * hitting shots for hours every day. If we'd finished a fraction of our chances against Madrid and Shakthar in the first two games, we could arguably have been very easily on 4 points from our first two games which would have put us in a great position. We really do deserve nothing at all with that kind of finishing and it was no different tonight. Thought Taylor, CCV, Jenz and Haksabanovic were good tonight. Midfield was very poor.

Real equaliser gives us a chance at 3rd, but is anyone confident we can score more than Shakhtar at Celtic Park and take anything at Madrid?

Maybe take the money and concentrate on solidifying our position domestically for now, because as the last few games have shown, we're not going to make as easy work of that as many were expecting at the start of the season.

It’s not the defeat, it’s the manner of the defeat.

    Same tactics, same problems.

The lack of goals is wild. Four games in a row unable to take good chances.

We really really need to do something about the mentality.

Even Giakoumakis with his chance. Just * bury that and make it 1-1 for * sake. You’ve done the hard bit, the cross is there, just * hammer it in and give us a grandstand finish.

I can’t get my head around it. It’s not like we’ve missed our one chance in each game. We’ve made so many but just unable to convert.

Copenhagen got a point against city Haifa beat juventus Brugge at nine points at top don’t buy into the wee league bulshit as an excuse we are naive in this competition because of the tactics and the way the board treat it just happy to make up the numbers

Not a popular opinion but we have become to reliant on our Japanese players, maeda in particular has been poor for us and has continually getting his game.
The three off time are honest workers but do not have the technical ability that is required for European football and yet they seem to be first choice every game, why i dont know bur imo its a major cause for our lack of goals in the group.

They are not alone in reasons for our poor displays(mooy????? why?)there are others but imo they are a major factor in the reason why we are where we are.

You're coming across like a sexist pig now.

I don't think Celtic is for you.

I thought we gave ourselves a better chance of winning the game than last week. They didn't break on us nearly as often and we looked more solid overall. But if you don't take chances at this level you'll get punished, it's as simple as that.

I thought overall O'Riley was good, but his chance on goal summed us up. A clear opening at goal and he hits it directly at their keeper. Easy save. Compare that to their two chances which gave Hart no chance.

Tactically inept, look at brugge winning 3 games in a row, maccabi beating juventus, we get slapped about the place ffs.
