The crazy thing is, we have the perfect player in McGregor to play on one side of the triangle, and link the play between Abildgaard and one of O’Riley/Hatate. Ange just refuses to see that that sort of finely balanced midfield is crucial for us in Europe.

‘Nah mate, two playmakers yards ahead of my only DM (who isn’t even a DM) please.’

    Getting sick of it now.

these bucks hit us on counter attack next week again.
    Can’t see us winning it.
We too easy to hit on counter and so much space to play

Issue tonight with pushing oriley up to press was the amount of space left for Mcgregor n Hatate to cover. Gaps everywhere

Two goals conceded from individual errors from arguably our two most senior players. * like that can't happen on this level. Hart had some great saves as well, it's a shame that the one big error he made will cast shadow on his performance.

The result was as expected though. We don't have the quality to compete at this level, wether it be in squad depth or in the first XI.

My biggest gripe with tonight is they played counter attack football cause it's what they prefer. The fact we allowed them to play their preferred game and didn't have the smarts to break up play in midfield quickly and make tactical fouls is so frustrating.

We made it so easy for them and they have the quality to capitalise. Naïve tactics against a team with a point to prove. Such a shame as the game was there for us.

At least Joe Hart has the balls to come out and face the music.

Can sense a lot of folk getting frustrated with Ange in Europe now. But it was only 3 weeks ago we thought big progress was being made against Shakhtar before their equaliser.

Tonight has really let a lot of people down and you can see why. Folk will talk about missing our 2 top centre-backs, but let's be honest, neither of them would've made a difference when it comes to the goals that cost us tonight.

This is one of the craziest things about how we set up. Literally there is not a person alive who doesn't think Calmac should start further up the pitch instead of at CDM. We've signed 3 CDMs and still he starts there. It's unfathomable.

Came from them overrunning our midfield mate. Far too open.

Need to change it away from home. Were no street smart.
I want points away from home first and foremost.
Get Yak up front. 5 in the midfield with Abilgard holding. Keep us compact as * and ten yards between each line and work like mad. Patch the high press away from home. Be a counter attacking team. Were actually made well for it tbh.
Open football at home yes. Hard to beat counter football away.

Do we still qualify if we win the two home games?

martin oneils years cost us an absolute bomb, his rep was extremely high and he must have got it built into his contract how much money he could get to spend

we bought hartson sutton for £12 million twenty years ago and the wages they must have been on aswell as us having larsson £2.5m s year wages lennon £6m fee lambert valgaeran balde

when he left we got strachan in for a rebuild downsize

weve been relatively pish in europe since jock steins years and theres lots of reasons for it

Beaten by a better, stronger side. We shafted ourselves at times aye, but they are dangerous as * going forward. Even with CCV we'd have struggled.

But let's face it, the big man's philosophy ain't ever going to work with Celtic at this level. We don't have the finances to bring in the kind of quality needed to do what he's trying to do.

Far too easy for good players to find space against us especially in midfield which is the biggest problem for me.

Anyone that genuinely thought that getting beat 3-0 then failing to put that tinpot Shakhtar side to bed represented progress is mental. There is no progress here, we are as bad in Europe as ever.
