In my books, Abada must start and we need CCV if we're to take anything from them.

 

As above, a draw would be a phenomenal result. They're a much better team than that result against Shakhtar suggests. And we're going into it in not the greatest form.

Hopefully we can raise our game.

 

Need to attack them from the get - go and blitz them into submission and finish ruthlessly and coldly.

Need to be 2-0 up by half-time.

Last 30 mins bring on fresh legs and keep up the pressure. Haksabanovic, Maeda, GG, Ralston, Mooy.

 

Attack and our press will be our defense.

 

I'm hoping we play the way we did against R.Madrid, and also Betis last season, when we were under staffed but really took it to them in the first half.

 

We'll likely he going in to this with Jenz and Welsh so for that reason alone, I can't see us getting a result..

No as fluent at the minute and away from home..

Up against it..

Hopefully this is a game that can kick us back in to gear..

Don't think Maeda should be starting for us but think we'll need his pressing and pace for this. They'll go for the win and hopefully he can exploit any high line they have..

Don't want to rush Carter-Vickers back and aggravate anything more long term. Even though it means our centre half partnership leaves us in real trouble..

 

I'd with something like that, but would prefer to see Abildgaard or even Mooy come in to protect the CBs. Even though it would probably be at the expense of Hatate

 

If CCV isn't fit, I wouldn't risk him..

Am I right in saying if Real Madrid win all their games, we only need to beat Leipzig and Shakhtar at home to come second?

If so, * risking CCV for this game. The much safer gamble is to hope Real (or other results) work out for us and try and win our remaining home games.

I've seen this story before where we rush a key player back and it costs us so much more.

Only slight concern is Madrid should be through top after their double header with Shakhtar and could rest boys vs Leipzig in Germany. (Could do the same in our trip to Bernabeu as well though tbf)

 

Badly need CCV for this, the thought on Nkunku vs Welsh gives me the fear.

Shakhtar most likely got their result due to them sitting back and hitting them on the counter, I suspect Leipzig will try do that to us.

Would bite your hand off for a draw considering how we have been playing the last two games. We really need the likes of Jota, O'Reilly and Kyogo etc. to rediscover the form we know they have and for our defence to solid.

 

I'm not worried about the attackers. Yes we've missed chances but we've been creating those chances with ease. The defence gives me the fear though big time. If we're taking anything from this we'll need to take alot more than 1 chance.

Could maybe go Abildgaard over O’Riley to try shield Welsh/Jenz for first 60 mins or so then bring Matty on.

Totally CCV is too crucial to risk at all unless he is 100% fit. Would be delighted with a point for sure from this one as I see us struggling defensively in this one.
