    You must've mentioned it in one of the relevant rankdowns in the past, even in nominating or noticed you commenting or something in the movie review thread or something, lol. You're still invited to be part anyhow mate... It's all good - never expect anyone to have seen all of the movies that get nominated, and it's understandable people can only judge those that they've actually sat through after all, haha! :giggle1:

    Taz you are an absolute machine with these rank downs. Is there anyway we can get a text rundown rather than the picture form? Is really daunting trying to scroll that list. Don’t go out of your way though. I’m sure I can scrape a top 10.

    I’m like Doogs, especially since the millennium I haven’t been a huge movie buff.

    Mate seriously if it’s a pain don’t bother. Might be easier for me to compile a top 10/20 from the original list rather than you having to type it all out.

    I said I never watched much in the 00s. Quick glance and there is at least 20.

    Already know my number 1. One of the best movies I’ve seen in a long long time. Foreign movie utterly incredible.

    @Taz

    This is where the pics would be handy. What Crash movie is that? There is two. One far superior to the other.

    Thank you interweb

    Never mind Taz. It’s the better Crash movie. The other one was good as well but for wildly different reasons :giggle1: it came out in the 90s though.

    There are some pretty * fantastic non-English language movies in that list... Downfall, City of *, Pan's Labrynth, Let the Right One In, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hero, etc... Very different but all are amaze and totally worth checking out.

    Yeah, they are two VERY different movies. The 1996 David Cronenburg one and the 2004 one (the one in this list here obviously) won the Best Picture Oscar - which is not always a great yardstick in and of itself, so go figure, lol...

    The one on this list seemed to split opinion with critics. Some saying it made excuses for racism or made out it wasn’t solely a white problem.

    I thought it was an utterly incredible movie though. How perceptions can change and how no matter how open minded you are that buried deep prejudice can race to the surface and even surprise yourself.

    Also racism is not just a white problem. We corner the market on it but it’s endemic.

    But mostly the story it weaved and how they intertwined to create the narrative. Amazing.
