I think Abdilgaard will start at centre back.
The Jenz and Welsh partnership does not work.

There is a lot riding on Abdilgaard's shoulders, but I hope we get to see him tomorrow at long last.

We definitely could do with his input, with all the injuries we have at the moment, because I think Motherwell will target our centre back pairing, like St. Mirren did.

I reckon he’ll start tomorrow. At the pivot with McGregor pushed one up and then Hatate or O’Riley other side

Big few weeks ahead of him, suspect we'll try him at CB but it's still a good chance to see how he gets on.

Grand old team to play for
Think after the St Mirren game we'll be straight back to CalMac, O'Riley and Hatate.

Summer signing Oliver Abildgaard has been backed to make a big impact on Celtic after using the international break as a mini pre-season for himself.

The Dane didn't do any team training before joining Celtic having gone back to his homeland from Russia, where he had been playing for Rubin Kazan. A deal was done to allow Abildgaard to move to Glasgow for a year with the potential for an extension depending on the situation in Russia moving forward.

Postecoglou has been happy with him though and believes he will have a big part to play this season with the packed fixtures list that the Hoops have.

He said: “It’s been really important because it wasn’t just that Oliver came in late, he also hadn’t done a pre-season with any club and had been training on his own.

It would have been unfair on him and in terms of his physical conditioning he wouldn’t have been anywhere near the levels to throw him in before now but he’s done good work the last couple of weeks with the guys who stayed back.

“He’s edging now towards getting game time. He’ll be in the squad tomorrow and potentially we can get him some game time but you’ll see him feature in the next few games. He’ll be important to us.

The reason we signed him was because we knew with the fixture list the way it is then we’re likely to get some injuries or players we’ll need to look after, particularly in the midfield area.”

Ange confirming he was signed as squad cover not a potential starter.

Hopefully he turns out to be a more reliable rotation option for Cal than Mooy because we can't afford another St Mirren and also we can't keep playing Cal into the ground season after season. He might be the fittest man in football but he is 29 and playing near enough every minute of every game for club and country will catch up with him eventually.

Everyone is a potential starter if they play well enough

Could be a bit unfair on him to play him at centre back today, out of position.

Naturally especially if a player in their position picks up an injury. But Ange has literally stated he was brought in for depth and rotation purposes not because he saw him as potential first choice.

Can he play centre back? Don’t think Welsh is the answer if Starfelt and CCV not available. Maybe worth a try if he can.

He's played there a few times before so he knows the role.
    Welsh gives me the fear.
I would rather have kept Scales as 4th choice CB, and bombed Welsh out to Aberdeen or somewhere.
