The old ones don’t really hold up well in my humble opinion. I still think episode 3 is a great film though, rewatched that a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it.

Thought I'd seen it before , seen it again tonight and remembered bits of it , If I recalled how terrible the ending was I wouldn't have bothered.

    Don't Worry Darling

Florence Pugh is top notch, and carries this movie. Chris Pine does his role well - charasmatic but can really make your skin crawl at times - but the ideas within the story struggle beneath the surface Stepford Wives level, and Harry Styles is a joke, almost ruining all the work those around him are putting in. He has no depth, seriously miscast.

Miscast but they must be raking it in with all his fans going to see it solely for him. Went to see it the other night and felt like I'd stumbled Into a one direction gig.

I think it’s something you sort of have to watch when you’re a kid to get the most enjoyment out of it, I grew up with it because my older brothers were into it so it’s always got a nostalgic piece of me in there

Saw the new elvis movie, thought it was great, even though Tom Hanks spoiled it a bit by being the colonel

Bullet Train - It's a bit like Kill Bill but not nearly as good. It wastes a couple of hours if you're at a loose end. 6/10

The new Elvis. It got good reviews but I gave up after an hour as it was all over the place. This IMDB review summed it up for me.

'It's like they blendered in a bunch of distinct music clips together and turned it into a massive psychedelic trip with so little dialogue, not to mention Austin Butler's inadequate performance leaves much to be desired. Although he wasn't entirely terrible, he needed to work out the acting method-I reiterate, acting, not singing, or dancing-for the Rock n' Roll King'

Is that the wee * that played in a Celtic charity match a few years ago? All the female fans were screaming every time he touched the ball. But I’m sure he got absolutely cleaned out (can’t mind who by), and ended up being sick at the side of the pitch

I thought it could have been great as a biopic like the Jonny cash or bohemian raphsody but they went down route of trying to appeal younger audience with rap music in soundtrack and like flashfoward sequences like scorcsese ruined it for me

    Emily the Criminal.

Cracking wee indie movie starring Aubrey Plaza of Parks and Rec fame and Theo Rossi of Sons of Anarchy.

Should be an outlandish story but both leads do such a good job and the script is tight.

    Recommend.

Not really Scorcese, that's just Baz Luhrmann's style... pretty much all of his movies share those hallmarks... Strictly Ballroom, Romeo+Juliet, Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby etc and Elvis follows suite.

Just watched this on Netflix. I liked it. Set waaaaay up north in Oga City, Akita prefecture. It's nice to see a film not based in Tokyo.

Tasuku has just become a father, but he's just a kid himself. And a screwup at that. And he drinks too much. When he shows up drunk and naked at the (televised) Namahage festival, the towns-people are horrified and dishonoured by his actions. So Tasuku leaves town. After two years, he returns to make things right - but his girlfriend is getting remarried.

It is a bit slow and there's lots of long, thoughtful pauses; however, there's also a pretty intense ending.

    Overall a 7/10 from me.

Absolutely batshit mental. Nonsensical and a bit too long, but I found it entertaining. There are some seriously funny moments sprinkled amongst the madness... some pretty touching ones too!

You'll either love it or hate it - I doubt there's middle ground with this one.
