    Watching Lyon beating PSG a couple of weeks ago, we all thought he could go very far in the game when it was him and Van Dijk as a partnership.

    How good do people think he’s became now?

    That Denayer/VVD pairing was the best we’ve had in our run of 9... 25 goals as well between the two of them one season.

    They were good and we knew it... too good fir us at the time really.

    Imagine having that defence this season and with the goals they brought as well...

    Never mind the 9, I think there's no argument that they were the best partnership we've had since MON and by quite a distance too. The argument is whether they were better than MON's. FWIW, my take on that is that in the modern game, they were IMHO. 20 years ago, the game was different and it wasn't yet quite so essential for defenders to be ball players (though it was already tending in that direction), so I'd probably have taken Balde over Denayer back then.

    They would be an amazing partnership again but they would be horrifically coached here probably and lose a goal from a corner every game

    At the end of his contract last June at OL, Jason Denayer left the Rhone team. Torino, Besiktas or even Saudi teams have notably tried it with the Belgian.



    According to our information, FC Valence is also talking with the 27-year-old central defender, who is available for free. Information revealed in Spain and that we can confirm to you.

    With 2 of our center half's crooked, Denayer is without a club, and wont be going to world cup, unless he finds a club pronto. I understand his wage demands are high, would be good if we could bring him now on a short term deal. Him and CCV together, none of they hammer throwers would be getting any change.
