Doesn’t get the praise he deserves, excellent once again last night when called upon.

 

A few were happy for him to go, I hope last night has changed those opinions. Definitely better than he gets credit for, he'll play a big part this year

 

Should never be let go really, good in the air, quicker than our other centre-backs, dribbles out the back better than other guys and plays riskier passes than them all as well. Should be given a long term deal I think as he's solid back-up and might develop into first choice.

 

I think given more game time over the season then it would benefit him and Celtic as to when CCV goes away and would be a straight replacement for him.

 

I'd be starting him alongside CCV tbh. Football-wise, I don't see a clear difference between him and Starfelt/Jenz. He's considerably younger than Starfelt. Unlike Jenz, we don't have to pay a transfer fee to keep him here. Fwiw, he's also homegrown.

 

The twice he has played this season he has impressed me on the ball. That was a side of his game that looks like it has come on a lot or he’s got the confidence to show it now. It was rumoured that when he was coming through his distribution was seen as one of his main attributes.

He is also a threat at set plays he wins a lot of headers in the opposition box for not being the tallest.

Hope his injury isn’t a bad one as I thought he was having a good game until he had to come off last night.

 

Cost goals whenever he plays.

Jenz marking no one for the first, Ralston dragged in and Mooy chasing the runner for the first.

Jenz losing the header across goal and Welsh having no time to react for the second.

I thought Welsh was fairly poor today, but the blame for either goal doesn't rest on his shoulders.

 

He seems to be somewhat of a blind spot for the manager not like he plays every week granted but he could have been replaced with better in the window we had the offer

 

Didn't need today's game to confirm anything tbh

He's not great but we all knew that anyway.

 

Should of took the money from that Italian mob.. Will never be good enough for us.

 

Stood up for him in the past but he was shocking today. The drop off when he comes in is gargantuan

 

It’s going to be a long season with him in defence

 

He needs a loan somewhere, he’s not played near enough to be a starter here. Bigger issue is lack of experience as soon as CCV and Starfelt are out.
