At least it prepared us. Saddest news by far this week.

Let's just pray it's not actually 6 weeks. Looks a cert to miss Leipzig away but it'd be a huge boost to have him back for the home leg.

Looks as though the rumours are true about CCV.

Should wait until the teams are out before putting player specific bets on :Kyogo:

“At this stage, everyone’s sort of pulled up okay from Wednesday night so no real issues coming out of that."

That was Ange, yesterday. Loads of sources quoted him saying that.

With all due respect, I'll take his word over some unsubstantiated twitter rumour that @Blochairnbhoy cited as evidence re CCV general fitness status, even if he is being rested for today... hopefully just needs a few days and off the top of my head, think CCV has played every game this season?

Celts have been brilliant away from home so far, but anyone expecting another goal gluttony, just a word of caution... St Mirren are decent on their own patch. This season all 3 games have been 1-0 affairs, with the hosts winning twice and losing once.

Even last season, even as ordinary as they were, of their 19 home games only 3 times did a side win by 2+ goals, and from 2018/19 onwards, the SMiSA stadium has the lowest goals per game average in the Premiership overall, and even season by season, finishing rock bottom 3 times, and 2nd from bottom in the others.

Hopefully the Bhoys have packed their shooting/scoring boots that they forgot for the trip to Warsaw in midweek.

CCV and Jura not on the bench, hopefully it's only slight knocks and will recover quickly. It makes sense to make changes , hopefully it doesn't impact on the intensity we play. COYBIG

I think we'll get the three points but think we might see a different kind of game and we'll need to dig in and win ugly.

    2-1

I'm still confident in that starting 11. The midfield will create chances and keep hold of possession.

You're right, they'll dig in and frustrate us no doubt.

But we've got the patience in this team to deal with that. This is a great game for Mooy imho. His distribution is a bit slow, but he's calm and has good composure which is something we'll need against a stubborn low block.

We need to be patient and make these guys run around chasing us for the first 60mins... a bit like how Madrid used their experience against us to do the same. Early goal would be great, but we shouldn't expect it.

Welsh seems to play a lot better at right of defence...so should be fine.

I think we should be fine, when we make changes now things still go on in full flow as everyone knows what they're doing.

Mooy with balls over the top for that front 3, Ralston overlapping Abada, McGregor pressing in midfield and Turnbull deserves a start as well.

Could still win 6-0 with that Xi.
