A draw away is not a bad result in this competition. Think we need to produce a draw or win in Leipzig away and win our home matches to advance from this group though.

 

If disappointment in football is inevitable, this is the kind of disappointment you choose. We've got a point away in the CL groupstage and we're gutted it wasn't 3. 2nd is well within reach

 

Feels like a * of a result tbh but we won't know how much until after the double header vs Leipzig.

The game in Germany in 3 weeks is a big one. If we can take something from that then we're back on track with 2 home games to play.

We should have won but I’m happy with out performances over the last 2 games

 

Both games we done enough to win

 

Good result in the fact that it was better than a defeat, but in no way should we be accepting NOT coming away from that game with all 3 points.

We need tk start dominating CM and jesus * putting away guilt edged chances!

 

Think we're still favourites for 2nd or 3rd. We're sick at not beating Shakhtar away but what a disastrous result it was for Leipzig losing to them at home - that's the result that puts us in with a great chance if we win our 2 remaining home games. As long as Madrid keep winning.

 

Win the 2 home games should be enough.

Can't see shaktar or leipzig taking anything from Madrid so even worse case scenario n we lose in leipzig.

It would put us on 7 pts, shaktar on 4 and leipzig on 3. We'd be thru before we go to Madrid as even a shaktar win against leipzig wouldn't put them ahead of us based on head to head

What’s brilliant to take away from tonight; we’re all gutted we drew. Countless times we’ve come away from games in Europe and wished for a draw off shiter teams than those. That shows how far we’ve come in the last year under ange

 

Yes and no. Was a very important point away from home but I feel disappointed because the game was there for the taking and getting something in Germany and Spain will be a harder ask.

Will sleep it off and probably look at it with a different perspective in the morning though.

 

Hours after the game and I’m still proper gutted to be honest. We were the far better team and fluffed countless chances again. Where we were a year ago is pretty much irrelevant. This is the team we have now and this team should have won that game. We’ve got to beat Leipzig and Shakhtar at home now and get a point in Germany to have a hope.

 

A draw away from home in the champions league is good - but we should have won it, so it’s a sore one to take.

It will either turn out to be a good point, or the moment we look back on and think that’s where we * it.

Confident of at least third but no chance I’m giving up on 2nd…still all to play for.

 

If we done that we’d be guaranteed 2nd I believe.

I personally think both us and RBL will win our home games and leave the table looking like:

Madrid 12
Celtic 4
Shakhtar 4
Leipzig 3

All to play for on matchday 5 and 6..

If Celtic beat Shakhtar

Madrid 12*
Celtic 7
Shakhtar 4
Leipzig 3*

*Leipzig needing a point vs Madrid to keep their hopes alive for game 6, which they could easily get with Madrid resting boys.

Definitely going to the wire.
