For those who are in love.....
4 point's off Leipzig will be tough i think with the new manager and Werner going back to them..

We saw how effective one player was for them tonight in a brutal side....Mudryk. Werner and Nkunku on the break has the potential to be horrible..

Hope I'm wrong. Feel deflated over that result as it was massively there for us, big time and feel like we've choked it..

I had said if we get 4 points from our first 3 games that would be good , so beat Leipzig and I think it’s there for us. Although I would love to get second I would rather finish 3rd and have a go at europa

No I absolutely get that and agree with that. Not saying we will get 4 off them, but it’s not impossible. Do make Leipzig favourites to probably finish second. But realistically win our two home games and at worst we’ll finish third, is a missed opportunity but third is definitely on

Had to win tonight for last 16.

I'm very frusrated after that. Betis and Leverkusen miles ahead of them lot.

It was a good performance but to not take those chances at this level is * criminal. We will pay for it. I'm certain.

Don't see us getting anything in Leipzig particularly if they lose tonight. Even worse if they don't!

Long and short of it is they are the easiest team we could’ve drawn in the whole tournament by a mile. A freak result against Leipzig does not change that. A Leipzig who’s last two European results were horsings off Shakhtar and the Huns was not a good look - obviously a pish manager. Now they have Marco Rose in charge - a cracking manager.

However, my hopeful permutations on paper are:

    - We beat Leipzig at home and Shakhtar at home meaning we finish on 7 points
    - Shakhtar won’t pick up any more points and finish on 4 points
    - Leipzig will beat us and beat Shakhtar and finish on 6 points
    - All assumptions based on Real winning all of their games

    Possibly viable for second then.

We were and we should have won but a point away from home in the CL is * rare. Teams clearly learning at this level, and we’re getting there.

It absolutely could but I can’t complain about getting any points away from home in the Champions League, how many times have we done it before? Can’t have been many

Can't agree James. Taking everything into consideration it's a rotten result, made worse by the rage at they missed chances. Absolutely fuming mate, in no circumstance is that a good result unless you're expecting to get leathered every game.

Given our form in Europe over the last few years mate I stand by my op saying this is a good result. I can't disagree that we are wasteful in front of goal but still confident of claiming 3rd possibly stealing second.

Think so many * saw the filth reach a Europa league final and somehow feel that we have the right to smash teams in Europe.

It was a draw against a gutted Shaktar side playing on neutral turf without many fans behind them. CL away fixtures don't come easier than that, we scuffed every chance and crumbled under their brief window of pressure. We shouldn't be slapping ourselves on the back after that, it was in no sense a good result.

Shakhtar would be a very favourable team to get in the EL let alone the CL. We couldn’t have handpicked an easier team in my opinion, so for that reason I can certainly understand the disappointment.

That team are miles off some of the good teams we’ve played in the EL group stages like Leverkusen, Betis, Lazio, AC Milan and Salzburg.

Disagree buddy, if this was a draw at home then fair enough. In Europe you need to win your home games and anything away from home is a bonus. We can still do this
