He reminds me of Commons a bit

 

Same goes for the new Danish kid.

 

This guy is gonna be an absolute baller, you just know it. Can't wait for him to get up and running, I fancy him to score off the bench on Wednesday.

 

The break has probably done him more good tbh. Given him an extra week to get himself up to speed and train with the rest of the team.

Hopefully get a good hour out of him. He's looked outrageously good in his cameos..

Some confidence boost as well from Ange considering we've got Abada and Maeda. Tells us that he's here to take that first team place soon..

 

Aye I love that Ange has gone with him. No space for sentiment just send out the best team, and it sends the right message to those on the fringes trying to work their way in.

I think he's gonna tear it up tonight.

 

Exciting that he has basically forced his way ahead of abada and maeda! Looking forward to this

I still think he’ll be a great player.

 

Can he play on the right? If we play him and Jota together they should swap sides.

 

Was probably too soon to start him..

Didn't look quite as at it as the rest. His quality is there for all to see though..

Needs a few more under his belt..

 

The issue (still - I’ll try not to get boring repeating it) is that his best position is jota’s and his next best is matt’s.

He’s a * steal for what was paid, but I don’t want us trying to stuff an Alsatian through a catflap getting him a starting slot to sacrifice of 1 of 2 folk who are generally flourishing.

It’s a nice quandary to have - but it is a quandary. He’s not come here to be a sub, that much is already very clear.

We have enough fixtures to hopefully use him where he plays best - on the left - and keeping jota fresh as * for when we need him (while still playing 65-70% of the season where he is best)

Ha - I can’t remember where that came from. In back of mind I’ve said it for a decade but must have nicked it from somewhere! Seems far too clever to have started from me

 

I think it was very bold for Ange to start him (and I fully agreed with it) but in hindisight, it probably was too soon.
