First half was fantastic, still can't believe that shot from McGregor never went in. Just glad it ended at 3 after that spell when they turned the screw.

Well it does, if we were *, embarrassing or * collapsed etc ... The fans would have emptied the stands long before the end.

Most of us can see what's happening here. Something real special is being built.

Proud of the team for playing the way Ange has taught them. Never gave up, shrank back into their own box and tried to hold on. Took balls. We'll get better, the team will take confidence that they can keep playing their own game and will beat European teams doing it.

We should have got something from that. So * proud of every one of them though, we really are building something special.

As others have said, the class of one of the best teams on earth shone through for the goals, but we matched them in every department otherwise. Maeda finishes the tap in it’s a different game imo.

Good first half. Had decent chances to get ahead. They controlled the best part of the 2nd half.

Would have been interesting had CalMac or Maeda scored.

    No fear.

I don't give a * about the Shaktar score mate, we need to remember this was Madrid with geniuses all over the park.

Shaktar and Leipzig ain't Madrid...just do both they * we will be fine.

We should absolutely be proud of our first-half performance. The second-half was disappointing, a few too many guys blowing out their *, lapses in concentration/poor decision making and we were punished for it. It’s still a fairly new experience for most of the guys in the side, so hopefully they can learn from it and push on from here. The fact that we didn’t score tonight was probably the only major letdown for me personally. Courtois is obviously a very good ‘keeper, but there were definitely a few wasted chances that we should’ve done better with.

I have to say, I honestly found some of the comments being made towards the end of the match bizarrely harsh. It’s * how it ultimately panned out, and no one likes losing at home, but we were beaten 3-0 by the reigning European champions, a team that could probably do that, or worse, to a significant number of teams in the competition (home or away) - I don’t class that as ‘embarrassing’. Dundee United getting pumped 7-0 by an average Dutch team is embarrassing.

Modric is a once in a generation player. Just ridiculous.

Need to think like ange when it comes to this group he’s not caring about any other results if we just care about what we do then other results will not matter

We actually played better tonight and created more chances than when we beat lazio and Barcelona, night s like that though every chance you get has to be a goal and you have to ride your luck a bit at the other end,

Gave a great account of ourselves and played our game the right way.

Another night we could easily have been 3-0 after 30 minutes (we had the chances) and with that Madrid arses would have collapsed.

My only concern was that we were exhausted in the middle of the park by halftime and it showed when they came back out.

Scoreline flattered them and even then I'm not embarrassed they done us proud.

    Hail Hail

Valverde was utter class for them as well. Was blaming Juranovic for that first goal but just picked up in post match there that there were two runners and he wasn't sure where to go.
