100% this. Ange alluded to it in his post-match how Abada wouldn't dwell on scoring twice but would come in straight away looking to improve. That desire to get better is invaluable. Often it can take a couple of years to notice real visible improvement in young players (some never really improve) but in 12 months he's taken his game to a new level. Dribbling is so much better, link up play and first touch too. He was even getting stuck in on Saturday.

He's another who has no limits to how far he can go.

He has a lot of energy and takes up some nice positions but at times is still very raw.
Maybe just highlighted against a top level team.

Think if that was a domestic game he would have made more of that chance. Hopefully tonight will get that out his system.

My only gripe tonight is that he was taken off too early, imo.

Think the occasion got to him a wee bit. In a domestic game he takes a touch and finishes that ball from Jota. Unlucky with the first one. Also looked a bit spooked one on one at times.

Great experience for him though, no doubt he'll learn a lot from it.

Occasion definitely got to him aye, the one on one with the defender was a terrible attempt, got to be chopping inside or getting the laces through that.

Wee man still to start at the weekend though.

    Agree man.

I really hoped last night would have seen him shine on the greatest stage, because he does it so well domestically as well.

But he's 20 and learning the craft. He will get better.

We all know what he should have done, twice, last night. But I won't be calling him * or wishing him dropped etc.

He will learn a lot with kewell helping him as well.
Certainly needs to find the confidence to face a defender up, turn him and find the better angle.
But it's not like it's completely hindering him, when he got about 25 goal contributions last year and is already on about 9 so far this season.

Guys a * talent that just needs a little bit more time to click that final attribute.

Gutted for him that his * collapsed when through on goal. You've got to bury that man.

Was surprised he didn't get at least the first 10/15 mins of the second half.

Definitely expected him to score from his shot but even with that not coming off thought and looking nervous thought he was most likely to get the next chance.

He was unlucky with the first one he hit that the defender got a toe on it but should have done better with the second one. He will learn from that and hopefully be able to capitalise next time.

Thought he played well and was subbed too early, if that chance falls to him same as it did Maeda then he would of stuck it away.

For a lot of the players they need to just find the composure at this level against a world class team, that’ll come with experience.

Sub was made at the right time for me...

The standard needs to be that high.. 20yr old still learning and what an asset we have in him.

Important not to be overly critical. He will have learned from last night as will everyone.

He has more than enough to hurt the other teams in this group.

I'd say Abada is our best right winger. We have Jota, Maeda and Haksa who all prefer to play on the left. Really hope Haksa proves to be just as good on the right as it would help Abada if we had another player who can play right wing as well as him. He is only 20 after all.

I definitely think that he froze last night and that the occasion just got to him however, he's still young and will learn.

Abada wasn't alone in needing a little more composure. Maeda's chances were an easier to take opportunity than abada's I feel.

But we played the champions of Europe, not an easy task. Abada and the rest will take this experience and put it to good use against Shakter and Leipzig
