Don’t mean to make this thread about THEM in the slightest but look at our bench, look at it! Every player there would walk into their team. I’m so chuffed at the team we have and not too fussed about the score tonight. If we can walk away at worst with a 1 or 2 nil defeat I’d be happy.

Patently never said that mate. Called into question the point of signing a guy who’s suited expressly for this sort of occasion at a time when he hadn’t a pre-season and we were within a week of one of our biggest challenges in years.

DM was always going to be the key signing for us this year, and we left it til within 5 days of the Real fixture. Now we’ve our best CM playing DM instead vs fecking Modric, who had his number all game long in the Euros just over a year ago. It’s nowhere near good enough.

 

Not fully fit. He got taken off after 1 minute unable to run 3 days ago.

 

I'll be honest, I'm bricking it.

Since Saturday I've convinced myself we're getting a result tonight to the extent I'm now expectant, hence the nerves are crippling.

In reality this should be a free hit. Instead it feels like something special is within reach

How can you be such a dour faced * om a night like this, especially given how well we've started the season.

We got the DM in late but it was clear we wanted Souza, who by all accounts strung us along for a bit, and 2nd choice was Abildgaard who clearly was a difficult move to make. We had a brilliant window.

He's right. McGregor is okay defensively, but no more than that. Great for helping build attacks when at DM, but Abildgaard should have been brought in first.
