Think kyogo will make it but think GG starts with maeda in ahead of abada.

    Hart
    JJ ccv jenz Taylor
    O'Riley mcg hatate
    Jota GG maeda

I know the wingers can swap during game but would wanna see Jota more off the left with maeda off right.
Only other thing could see Ange do would be play mooy ahead of O'Riley to have a more conservative midfield.

If benzema is out and rodrygo starts up top I fancy us to not only draw but win

Same feeling as going into the Juve game in last 16....very high confidence but they had players who were cunning and knew how to frustrate and swing the game in their favour. Experience matters, maybe Mooy in, the more experienced head might not be a bad shout

Although I’ve always preferred Abada over Maeda, I think we need Maeda to start this one to run them ragged and shut them down.

For the first time in I don't know how long I actually don't mind who Ange starts because we have 22 players capable of starting and will give 100%.

These are strange times being a Celtic supporter haha

    Long may it continue

This is the type of game where the physicality of Giakoumakis and running power of Maeda could prove useful.

Weirdly though I think maybe in terms of energy and press we could look at starting Kyogo if fit and Maeda together which is not something I generally like to see as domestically we normally hold the ball the majority of games and is a combo i dont think is as effective in that setting where we will control possession every game.

But this is the type of game we will likely only see about 30% possession so when we do have it...we need to be quick about it and given we should hopefully enjoy some space, sparingly throughout the game...Maeda could be the key player to use to get the ball forward into space whilst Kyogo tries to drag defenders about with his movement.

It's a tough call for Ange not really expecting to get anything out of this match but I'm still buzzing to see the atmosphere and still have hope we create a little bit of history tomorrow.

Lichsteiner’s cheating and blatant fouls in the box at every set piece still annoy me to this day.

We're meeting the best club team in the world tomorrow. It will be a litmus test on how far we've come since the Bodø/Glimt shambles.

If we can get away with a draw or a narrow loss I'll be happy, as long as we can see the players stick to Angeball, work their arses off and keep focus on their duties. For some of our players it will be the biggest game they've played in yet, so hopefully they make the most of it.

Agree with those calling for Maeda to start. Absolutely love Abada and he's been amazing in the last couple of league games, but I think Maeda's pace/pressing is vital tomorrow. Same with Kyogo over GG if he's fit.

I'd go with Maeda as well. I'd maybe even go Turnbull instead of Hatate.

We probably won't be flooding forward at pace constantly like we normally do, we'll want to play a bit calmer and hold the ball for longer since they are more dangerous on the counter and we don't want to constantly be losing the ball and letting them break on us. Turnbull keeps possession well, looks less to switch play or a quick pass than Hatate who is quality at it but might lose the ball a lot more often and put us under pressure. Turnbull shields a ball well and can slow a game down a bit and allow us to hold the ball in their half. Turnbull I think lasts the pace better than Hatate and O'Riley as well so i'd probably leave him on the full 90 and sub O'Riley for Hatate.

    Hart
    Juranovic CCV Jenz Taylor
    McGregor
    O'Riley Turnbull
    Jota Giakoumakis Maeda

Would leave us Abada, Hatate and Kyogo to come on and lift the pace.

I'm gonna treat myself to a 30 day BT sports pass for £25 cos I've saved £600 in 57 days of not drinking o_O (one day I'll figure out IPTV!) I can get 3 Celt games in and I'll defo watch the Liverpool Hun games = £5 a game - cheaper than the pub! This is the first time in years that I'm actually interested in the CL! I canna wait-ah!
