The window being a success hinges on whether we got shot of Mikey Johnston or not

    What a window, man.

3 months screaming for a CDM and we sign one at 11:30pm on the last day and none of us actually know if he's our player:giggle1:

As close to a 10/10 window (on paper) we've ever had.

Think if we managed to offload McCarthy, got a striker and the dane was a permanent I'd rate it a 10, but it's still been a helluva window.

Add Bain, McCarthy and Forrest to that list and you’ve got our UEFA A-list.

A 24 man squad of which only 7 were here pre-Ange. Unbelievable transformation in just three windows.

Fixed it up for you. Not to mention next summer we will punt Barkas and hopefully Ajeti, and we can officially say the dead wood has been cleared.

That's an ENTIRE squad turnover in 12-14 months.

Anyone got the figures, how much we spent this window, how much we clawed back?
Reckon we spent 20M and no idea how much we brought in.

Throw in getting rid of Ajeti, Barkas, Jullien, Boli, MJ, Bitton, Scales and Soro and it's an incredible window.

I know most are loans but most will have an option to buy.

The only weakening from last year imo is Rogic leaving but we've replaced him well and look stronger in the middle overall.

If Angel's success rate of players coming into the squad is anywhere near it was last year, we're in for a * of a ride.

The first team on paper looks near enough the same but that's not staying still, for once. We're starting the season with it unlike last year where we had to wait until September and then January when players joined us. Also, we have huge strength in depth, which we didn't have last year. This will allow us to navigate through the season with adequate replacements and giving players like Jota a rest when needed.

The signings of CCV and Jota on permanents are collosal. Imperative. Essential. Unthinkable.

These two are not the same players they were at the end of last season, let alone in September when they first joined. The squad isn't the same. Look at GG. Barely kicked a ball until January.

We're going to lose two to four of these players in the summer. They'll have admirers but at least we'll get top dollar and hopefully Champions League money and we have a man at the helm who we trust will replace them well.

The past three windows are unheard of for us. I hope this is a permanent change in thinking by the club going forward.

We win on Saturday and the league will be over imo. I know it sounds ridiculous but do you think Ange will let us slip or allow the team to rest on their laurels? I don't even think he'll have to try to keep them motivated. It's not in their nature - example: players being unhappy they didn't score ten at the weekend. Most teams would've sat back and thought the game was dead at half time. We went for the kill and it won't be the last time this season we put 6+ past a team.

Right, win on Saturday. I don't care how we do it. 3 points is a must.

    About £900k :56:

No idea about loan fees but probably looking at £2m in total with the potential to make another £5m if they make them permanent deals next summer.

Wages saved will be astronomical though. Most of our heavy earners, who ironically were the ones not playing, have left. Whatever was saved there has gone into the transfer pot. You're probably looking at £3m+ saved easily when you take into account the wages for those coming in.

Because of his age, and how long he'd been in England, I'd forgotten McCarthy should still count as a home trained player due to his time at Hamilton.
