I've been harsh on JF for a while, but 40/50 games a season in his prime is bound to catch up on any winger. Beginning to see that now with ange here, that teams like celtic need a good squad to rotate, otherwise burnout and injuries take their toll much faster.

Takes so long to do anything. Pointless chops, going to run by a man and checking back, pass back to defence. The drop from jota, meada and abada to him is HUGE

Or attacking sharpness has moved up a few levels and Forrest hasn't really raised his game at all. He strikes me as just not very hungry.

Just cannot see him starting any more, but fine to bring on when cruising to give the likes of Jota a breather.

Ange Postecoglou spoke about the role that James Forrest plays in his Celtic squad and predicts that the long serving winger will play a significant role this season despite not having had too much game-time in the opening five games of the season which have all resulted in the Hoops collecting three points to go clear at the top of the league, looking down on theRangers

And in this latest interview with the Celtic manager – OPEN GOAL MEETS… ANGE POSTECOGLOU! Glen’s Vodka SPFL Manager Of The Season – Ange explains how his four wingers at his disposal are all very different types of players and are capable of disrupting the opposition.

He’s a great guy and he’s great for this club. You need guys like him and that’s why we re-signed him last year,” Ange Postecoglou told the Open Goal podcast. “He’s still very much a part of the club and even though he’s not played a lot of football yet this season, he’ll play a big part in what we’re trying to do.

“When you’re building a football team it’s not just about the team itself. It’s about the people you’ve got in the building and how you build a culture.

“Culture to me is people, if you’ve got good people in the building then you don’t have to worry about things and he’s a really good one. He’s had a great career here and he’s still really motivated to do well so I’m pleased that we’re able to have him as part of the group.”

Bizarre how people here have never really taken to him and Now want shot of him for all the big contributions he has made here. Arguably just as important as Brown was and goes down as one of our most gifted players in the last 30 years. Celtic legend

Delighted for him to score, he maybe isn't as impactful as he used to be but he done well tonight when he came on. One club bhoy deserves to see out his contract with us regardless of form. Never complains and gets on with it.
