With the transfer window closing next Thursday, the question remains as to whether some incomings can be brought in.

One of the key positives of Christopher Jullien's departure has meant wages and room in the squad have been freed up. And that may mean the club cou;d bring in one more addition following the departure of Jullien to Montpellier on Tuesday.

Postecoglou admitted that whilst there won't be a hatful of signings, there would be an element of activity should the right player be identified for the right price.

But we'll stay active, there's a few days left and hopefully see what happens with some outgoings and if the right person or right opportunity comes along we may bring one more in.

Absolutely it's about giving guys opportunities and sometimes those opportunities are elsewhere.

"If that happens and it happened with Christopher - the opportunity to continue his career at a good level - for us it creates a vacancy in our group that we can fill."

Another summer signing would take Celtic up to nine first-team additions for the season, with an estimated £19m being spent so far in the campaign.

Grand old team to play for
Think we could do with another full back - one that can do a job at either side.

Jury is still out on Berni. Taylor has been looking good, but it's a big ask for him to play full 90 mins twice a week and keep his current form up.

If JJ or Tony picked up an injury I'd be getting very nervous.

Just being greedy but still feel like we could add 1 or 2 more faces to the squad.

Especially the obvious being a CDM role and maybe another more attacking minded player as I feel the rotation between Hatate O'Riley and Turnbull seems a bit thin on the ground

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou reveals what will determine "opportunity" for late signings
The constant drive from Ange Postecoglou to revitalise his Celtic squad could yet see further arrivals - plural - in the closing stages of the transfer window, which shuts at the end of Thursday [September 1].

The Australian, who made a seventh signing of the summer in tying up a deal for attacker Sead Haskabanovic on Thursday, has stated that any further moves will be dependent on freeing up spaces in his pool. There is the possibility of two slots opening up as a result of interest in out-of-favour striker Albian Ajeti and Mikey Johnston. On the latter, Postecoglou is keen to see the injury-troubled winger earn regular game time on loan. If any players do leave, the 56-year-old appears keen to retain current senior numbers. “There are a few days and there is the potential for a couple of outgoings which might give us the opportunity to bring more in,” said the Celtic manager. “I don’t expect that there will be a lot of activity but it just depends on how things go over the next few days.”

If we could just sign a defensive midfielder that will start when required, would be great.

    4 days left is it?

I thought we’d end up with that Harry Winks from Spurs on loan since he’s played with Hart + CCV before and plays DM…Seems he’s off to Sampdoria though which is fine with me.

Fingers crossed we’ll get at least one more.

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou admits he'd be very surprised if any of his players want to leave - but conceded there could be a couple of exits from the club this week.

That's likely to be the likes of Albian Ajeti or James McCarthy with both players heavily linked with moves away from Celtic Park as they struggled to get game time. That could then allow Celtic to bring in another player with eight already in the door following the addition of Sead Haksabanovic earlier this week.

He joined the permanent additions of Daizen Maeda, Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers following their loan spells and the signings of Alexandro Bernabei, Benji Siegrist, Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jens over the summer window. Postecoglou doesn't believe any of his big players will want to leave despite the likes of Matt O'Riley being linked with big money moves away.

Reports suggest Manchester United and Liverpool are both considering a £15million bid for the Celticplaymaker but it's unlikely that he will leave the summer.

And Postecoglou said: “I’d be very surprised if anyone wants to leave this place at the moment. We’ll see how the next few days go. There’s the possibility of a couple of outgoings.

“And that could give us the opportunity to bring another one in. But there’s nothing fixed. If the right opportunity came along, we might add one more.

If we don’t - I’m happy with the business we’ve done. It was great to get Sead finally done. I’m pleased to get a player who will fit in well with us. He’s only 23 but already has great experience with clubs and at international level. He’ll be a great asset for us.”

Criminal if we don't get another decent defensive midfielder in. It's a glaring need
