TBH haven't tracked down either of those shows and it truth haven't heard much about them so will need to check them out, but Taylor Sheridan is among my fav writers/directors working at the moment and more familiar with his movies, such as those we've mentioned and Sicario, Vile, For Those Who Wish Me Dead etc.

Totally agree. If you've not before and this sort of thing is of interest, should check out more of Raymond Chandler's books & movies based on his stuff, but there is so many great Noir classics out there, not just Chandler. And Bogart & Becall's chemistry in that one and Key Largo etc. Also that Bogey/Bacall Big Sleep is better than the 70's version - which admittedly has a better cast overall, but just something about the original that just works/fits better and Bogie better than Robert Mitchum's take on the Marlowe character.

And obv MASH set in the Korean War in early 50's, when all those Noir and Chandler-esque quips and observations were at their peak, so it fits. :50:
