Breaking even usually with transfer spending has always been our model.. well it at least felt like it for so long under Peter.

Difference now with Breaking even is for whatever reason...maybe it is directly Ange having more control I don't know...but the way the money is being spent seems so much wiser and is fitting with a new direction that Ange is taking Celtic

We will do the usual add £15m to the reserve account and then post a decent profit

Id say McCarthy will go, he seems to have a bit more professional pride than the other two..

I'd send Julian to the colts and Ajeti to work in one of the food kiosks on match day and the superstore stockroom for the rest the week...

Mccarthy is probably alot wealthier than the others due to his time in England. He came here to get a medal, which he has. If he does stay I don't think it will be him being stubborn.

Let's hope that bhoy is right. You can definitely feel that that's what's happening behind the scenes.

McCarthy and Johnstone both have loan offers from Sunderland

If we can get the two in that are linked while offloading McCarthy, Jullien, Johnston, and Ajeti then we'll be in a brilliant place.

If we can offload three of Ajeti, Jullien, McCarthy and MJ and bring in Haksabanovic, I'll consider it a fantastic window. Truthfully we all know we need a proper 6 and missed out on Souza, but had we got him (and it seems like we were very close) it would have been a perfect window.

Considering the shambles we’ve had in the past at times it’s so good feeling satisfied a few windows in a row, getting key deals in early and doing good business as the window closes. Long may it continue

1-2 more in after Haksabanovic is interesting.

You'd imagine that surely.it depends on us being confident the 3 mentioned above in that post are away.

“Yeah, there is a possibility [of players coming in this week],” Postecoglou said.

“We can’t stand still. We’re still building.

“Every now and then I’ll glance at the diary and if you go back 12 months from today, you’re going to have a very different picture of what our football club looked like.

“We’ve made a * of a lot of progress, but we’re still at the beginning.

“I’m still building a team, building a game style, building an environment. There’s still work to be done.

“Just because you have had success or it looks like things are going well, that’s not the time to stand still.

“I still know there’s a lot of work to be done. My ambitions for this football club are very strong in terms of making sure we are the best we can be.

“So, we’ll continue to strengthen with the guys we’ve got, but if opportunities come along to bring people in who I think will help us on that journey, then I’ll bring them in.”

    Good words.

Sounds like we can expect at least one more after Haksa.

Postecoglou was also asked if he was happy with the state of play of his squad ahead of the transfer window slamming shut, he added: "We are working on things. There's still time in the window in terms of incoming and outgoing.

"There will be probably a couple but like I said we are waiting for the right one to come in and in terms of outgoings we will just see what sort of opportunities there are."

Celtic have been strongly linked with a move for Rubin Kazan star Sead Haksabanovic in recent days. While James McCarthy is just one of several fringe stars who could be offloaded.

I'm like a broken record but I fear for us the CL.

Our midfield in particular is built for when we are commanding games and well on top.

A team with a good bit of dig in the middle and with a hold on the game vs us will run through us

I've completely forgotten that Ajeti and Jullien are still here to be honest. Glad to hear that Mikey and JMac have offers in the pipeline. They would both do well at Sunderland I feel.

This is how the depth chart looks now:

GK: Hart, Siegrist, Bain, Oluwayemi, Hazard (loan)
    LB: Taylor, Bernabei, Montgomery (loan)
LCB: Starfelt, Jenz, Lawal, Scales (loan)
    RCB: CCV, Welsh, Jullien, Murray
    RB: Juranovic, Ralston, Urhogide (loan)
CDM: McGregor, Mooy, McCarthy, Soro (loan)
CM: Hatate, O'Riley, Turnbull, Ideguchi, Shaw (loan)
    LW: Jota, Maeda, Johnston
    RW: Abada, Forrest
ST: Kyogo, Giakoumakis, Ajeti, Kenny (loan)

Looking at this makes it clearer than ever that Jullien, McCarthy and Ajeti are surplus to requirements.

Also makes sense as to why Habsa is being brought in. I think he'll be primarily deployed as a winger.

Yesterday, we lost control of the game at the start of the second half, things did improve when Hatate came on.
But we have nobody that we can call on to come in and stem the flow. A warrior type. Put in a few tackles, hunt down, do the dirty, that style player, who usually influences those around him. Scott Brown Roy Keane type. This, I feel will bite us in the * in CL.

It's a huge concern for me.

You can obviously argue that we could spend £100m on two new midfielders and still get shagged but still. That's not the point.
