Orlando is the best place on earth, but its not the place to go slow paced and relax, you need a rest when you go.

Unless you're not in theme parks then whilst the coasts are said to be lovely I couldn't be arsed with that flight for a beach.

Just back from portugal, place was the busiest ive ever seen it and ive been go the algarve alot.

Old town in albufeira was like the strip, place was heaving with hens and stags.

Airport on way home jam packed with french military coming home from operation barkhane, must have been 500 troops easy.

    Weather was nice though:84:

Batter some calpol into them a hour before check in and you’ll be grand.

No idea if they take temperatures mind you, seems like a unnecessary invasion of privacy. Mind you I have hardly left my flat in years never mind Glasgow or the island.

Anyone recommend any decent camping spots away from Glasgow area, preferably reachable by train or bus? Most of the official sites seem to be trying to push and promote more profitable stuff like glamping, motorhomes these days etc.

Galloway Forrest is fantastic. You can wild camp. We went down a few year back and built a fire next to the river, carry out guitar and a smoke. The dogs were off the leads all night and away playing for hours at a time. A five minute walk we found a loch where you could fish. Best of all though was its classed as a dark sky reserve, only one of a handful in the world. You could see every star possible, it was beautiful. It was that dark, you put a hand in front of your face and couldn't see it. So so so quiet and when you went home, laying in your bed it was so noisy which felt strange. Brilliant experience.

Anyone been to The Netherlands recently? Just realised you need to be boosted to get in, don't think there's any way around it. Ridiculous.

I was there in July…. Nobody around me checked… but I’d heard of random checks. Sounds like they have it in place as an entry requirement but not really enforcing right now… probably easier to do if there were a spike or new variant.

They have worse baggage and security issues than U.K. so we’re probably more bothered about throughput than checking stuff like covid vaccinations.

Just left Dubrovnik today (actually at Athens airport waiting to board for Crete just now). Done Split, Dubrovnik, Glamoc (Bosna) Banja Luka (Bosna), Serbia, Budva , Kotor, Perast & Tivat (all Montenegro). Was amazing!! Drove from Dubrovnik through Bosna & Montenegro, was a good drive but borders are a pain in the * depending on build up. Was about 45 mins at each one which is t too bad. Heard about people being there for hours on end!
Cracking trip though, you’ll love it
Bosna much cheaper than Croatia & Montenegro, Serbia is cheaper again.

    Not long back from Lisbon.

Cracking place, loved it and met some cracking people. Good wee Irish bar for the Celtic games that attracted quite a few of the good guys as well.

And of course the Estadio Nacional was a spine tingling experience. The pitch itself was in pristine condition as well - would’ve loved to have a kick about on it.

Also caught Benfica v Dynamo Kiev and must say that the Estadio de Luz is one of the nicest stadiums I’ve ever been to with a pristine pitch as well. Many levels above ours.
