If Benzema doesn't win it will be a travesty. More so than Lewandoski previously.

Absolutely. Atleast Messi had a good season when Lewandowski didn't win. Benzema is the obvious choice

What has Ronaldo done to merit being on that list?

Benzema should be the unanimous choice.

Benzema the EPL Slayer has to get the win.

Think Nkunku deserves at top 5/6 as well, some season he had.

Benzema definitely but I also wouldn’t argue if Courtious got it. That CL run for Real, they wouldn’t have done it without him.

Same with Benzema but he was equally as important, more so in the final.

Don’t think there is an outstanding player in Europe just now.

The World Cup will probably come into it though unless are they voting before it?

You'd think players like De Bruyne, Van Dijk, Modric, Mbappe if they have good World Cups and win it and as well as good starts to this season they could get in there. Lewandowski also, if he was to take Poland to a Quarter or Semi of the World Cup and score about 20 for Barcelona you wouldn't write him off.

Easier for Benzema though as he will only need a decent season even if he has 5 goals for Real Madrid and scores 2 or 3 in a decent World Cup for France it would likely be enough to keep him at the top. Van Dijk, Modric, De Bruyne or Mbappe would need to win the World Cup, Mbappe would need to do it while scoring at least 6/7 goals or something as well and steal the show.
