Start starting him Ange.

 

Was really hoping he’d come on and stake his claim and looks like he did so with that finish.

Just said it in Jota’s thread but the fact that all of Jota’s contributions have been off the left side will do Abada’s chances of starting no harm as well.

Got to be done.

 

Abada’s quality shouldn’t be sacrificed for Maeda’s work rate in games like today

 

Needs to play, or we're in real danger of losing him... He's too good to be warming a bench in Scotland

 

He's class.

I get why Maeda plays so much but Abada is so much better than him technically.

 

Once again the wee man shows why sitting on the bench is a massive mistake on Ange's part. The potential he has is phenomenal and it's literally the only criticism I have of big Ange ATM.

 

This will be an unpopular opinion but his general wing play could be a good bit better and is inconsistent; obviously that is forgotten about when he scores the type of beauty that he did today - Fair play to him but I can see a lot of room for improvement; hes still very young so no doubt he will improve his general play

 

Everyone who's watched him knows he has all the talent, lacked some composure, etc, but his work rate and natural ability will show through. No digs, but there's been people on here saying Kent is better. I'd have Abada over Kent a million times over.

It's a long season, he knows that, ange know that. Rotation is key to Anges tactics there will be games like today where narrow pitches are tricky for him (in saying that his goal was just pure class), then you'll have home games, European games etc where he will be able to use the width to his advantage. He's still young but improving all the time!

 

Agree that anges system needs a lot of rotation. But for me abada and jota need to start. Jota works 10x better on the left and abada z as much as at times seems to go missing, he delivers. Not many 19/20 year olds score and assist that much

 

So where we are expected to be heavy favourites and control an obscene amount of possession...our front three needs to be Jota Kyogo Abada.

Where it is games perhaps in Europe mostly and maybe away to hun at Bigotdome...where it is a bit more fast paced...bit more aggressive and attacking...Maeda and Giakoumakis is perfect as Giakoumakis offers fantastic outball to help get ball away from our defence, can hold it up as well as also using Maeda as an outball to counter into space out wide with speed.

 

I know Ange likes Maeda for his workrate etc and he knows him from his time in Japan but on current form and overall effectiveness Abada's got to start. I don't like it when managers have favourites and would be disappointed in Ange if he keeps playing Maeda over Abada. Add in that Jota's better on the left and it really has to be done.

 

I think Ange has made it clear that no player should feel comfortable as a first pick in his squad. Abada has staked his claim again and I’m sure that hasn’t gone unnoticed by Ange. As someone above said, it’s a long season.
