I loved Abada last season, maybe not as skilful as Jota but was more direct when receiving a pass, straight towards the box terrifying defenders, only 20, new country where he didn’t speak the language but scored 15 with quite a few assists AND an international call up to Israels senior team with their manager raving about him AND he’s only going to get better, hoping he’s on a 4 year contract, at least

 

Yeah still 4 years left for the wee man.

 

Can't disagree with that, some debut season from a lad his age. Reckon he's gonna tear it up this season.

 

Certainly looked like it as he terrorised that Blackburn right back the other day.

 

Ridiculous that Karamoko got on the golden boy list and Abada didn't.

 

Really need to start appreciating abada a young lad who came to play for Celtic from another country and with the goals and assist last season magnificent.

 

I can't grasp how some folk don't appreciate him.

His drive is brilliant. What was it, 26 goal involvement last season? 15 scored?
For a guy who started the season at age 19, coming from a different country, that's absolutely brilliant stats and he performed very well.

Still developing and plenty to add to his game, but if that's how he starts his career here, I'm over the moon. Not sure what others want him to do - well we do, folk keep saying he needs to add more to his game, but that's s given since he's now only just 20.

I think he should be starting ahead of Maeda at the moment

 

Without Abada playing a blinder of a first season, we would have struggled much more to get the league title. With Forrest injured and nowhere near his best, we should be happy he perfomed so well. You for sure can't expect that from such a young lad just coming to a new country and culture. Hope he can replicate last season and improve further. Would definitely start him an Jota on the wings!

Jota - Kyogo - Abada

With the big Greek coming on or even getting his change to start.

 

For games that need bility to pass and move through packed defences...then Jota Kyogo and Abada is way to go.

Maeda playing when teams sit deep is just not going to work well enough...he has no space to run into and as much a * love him so much...he doesn't have the technical ability on the ball that is equal to Abada.

If we need to do brute force than Giakoumakis and Maeda would work as Giakoumakis will bully the central defenders and teams will likely come out of position more for Maeda's pace to then be of use.

Like for example our opening game of the season early on, Maeda was finding himself open out wide as Sheep didn't start off so deep and defensive and he was able to get space to run into plenty of times...as it went on though that space closed and he had nothing to run into so it also then started to effect Kyogo as well.

Abada for the most part with Kyogo and Jota has been a lethal front three and I'd like to see more of it in majority of games.

In Europe and probably against huns Giakoumakis and Maeda could be the better direct, physical options
