Was excellent when he was drifting into midfield linking up the play.

I am one of his biggest critics but I thought he was outstanding today.

Great performance today. Definitely improved massively under Ange.

If he was quicker he'd be a cracking player.

He was fantastic today. He has a real football brain and is good technically. Always going to be physically limited but he's an example of maximising your inherent capabilities.

It's testament to the work that Ange has done, and the player himself, that Greg Taylor was popping up in midfield, offering options and playing quality balls in behind. Can't imagine anyone thought him capable of that a year ago.

    Played really well aye.

So comfortable receiving the ball in the middle of the park, even with back to goal etc.

Hopefully the presence of Bernabei will see him continue at that level.

Looked aggressive today which is my biggest criticism of him normally. Too shy and easily bullied. He was going in early today and bringing players down when necessary. Hopefully Bernabei coming in pushes him on to new levels.

It's going to take a lot for Bernabei to take over at LB, and that's a good thing, first time we've had proper competition at Fullback in years.

As some others have said, if he was a little bit quicker, I wouldn't be wanting anyone to replace him, but even at that I think he's starting to adapt to the lack of pace he has, he still gets into excellent positions.

Delighted for the lad after all the flak the fans have given him in here.

He’s matured into a very good footballer, keeps it simple and always in the right position not to mention he gets up and down the line all game no issues.

Again though domestically was never an issue last season for him at the end, it’ll be how he does in Europe.

He just gets Ange’s system. All of our attacking play in the first half came down the left hand side.

When he plays like that, Bernabei won’t get a look in.

Him and O’Riley were constantly looking for it all day and didn’t stop running. Played like players who know the competition for places is well and truly there now.

If he had pace and a bit more physicality he’d be playing at a level way beyond ours. Thought he was excellent today, almost played as another central midfielder.

Another that I thought played well today. Hopefully having an actual left back for competition this year, and not a converted CB or RBs getting played out of position, can push him to a new level as well.
