47 and I still chuckled at Fani. I wear it like a vajazzle of honour though.

You could be 75 and drawing your pension, but you’d be dead inside if you didn’t afford yourself at least a small snigger at such a name.

I think this has been clear for a while but some fans are just reluctant to accept it because we were linked with Souza, but he really looked like a bit of an outlier stats wise that he excelled so much in most areas, getting someone in that's both a defensive monster and suits Ange's style of play in our price range would always be extremely difficult, if it's a choice between one or the other Ange is almost certainly going to prioritise his style of play over a big brick shithouse of a DM that some on here desperately want.

The Fani just netted us an extra £950,000!

Celtic handed Champions League coefficient boost as transfer target helps club land six-figure windfall
Celtic were already due to receive over £7m from the coefficient rankings

Celtic have received an extra boost in their quest for Champions League success this season, after gaining automatic qualification for Europe's elite competition by winning the Scottish Premiership.

Ange Postecoglou's side, who are already set to land a jackpot of around £40m for their efforts in the tournament, have now been handed an extra six-figure windfall by Maccabi Haifa and, ironically, transfer target Mohammad Abu Fani.

The Israeli side's two-leg victory over Olympiacos, who were ranked 10 places above Celtic in the 10-year coefficient table, means that the Greek side will have to fight to play in the Europa League next season. As a result, the Parkhead club are set to land an extra £950,000 on top of the £7.7m coefficient income, with higher ranked clubs getting a bigger slice of the cake under UEFA's rules.

And it was Abu Fani who put the icing on the cake scoring the fourth goal to dump the Greek outfit out, after Celtic tracked the enforcer-style midfielder this summer. Maccabi were said to be open to a move, admitting they would accept a "suitable offer" for the player upon conclusion of their qualifying games, with a valuation for the Israeli set at around £800,000.

Ange Postecoglou has been in the market for a strong defensive midfielder, with the fellow Israeli Nir Bitton departing the club at the end of last season. The Greek-Australian has turned to Aaron Mooy on a free transfer, with the 31-year-old adding some experience to the champions' side.

If we sign him, the media team at the club are going to have to earn their money in making us all forget his real surname over time, beginning with ‘Welcome to Celtic Mohamed Abu’ or the like. Same with the name on the back of the shirt.
