Only saw the second half but England were a class above. So much quicker, on and off the ball. Sweden just seemed like the usual Sweden men’s team - boring and slow.

Can’t see past England winning it, and tbh I wouldn’t be too upset if they do. The media circus will be annoying but I like a lot of their players. Plus I actually think them winning it would have an impact on girls football up here as well.

Feel like France or Germany still have the pace and quality to rip them apart..

They do look good and fairly pacey but Spain ripped them apart for the most part and even tonight, they rode their luck majorly until the got their first..

France especially would create bundles against them..

Right first and foremost I am not against women's football at all.

But * me I wish people would stop with the whole "this could inspire a generation", "so proud of this", so proud of that", and the one that really gets me "we've fought so hard for years for moments like this for the women's game."

The same women who've been saying this to me are the same women that turn their noses up when myself or others I know want to watch Celtic, or other teams for that matter, play on a weekend throughout the season.

Hundreds of years men's football has been around, yet we're still told week on week that it's "just a game" and to "get a life".

All of a sudden a game involving women comes on the TV and its the most important thing in the history of the sport to the same people who can't stand it any other time of the year.

Like I've said, nothing against women's football or anything like that.

Don't mind if England win it. Decent team and play well.
Not even bothered by the media surrounding it. Kinda feels like they deserve it rather than just the constant arrogance that goes on when the mens team play.

That backheel has been blown massively out of proportion

They do that with most of the goals in the women's game. I think they should use a smaller size of goals and maybe a ball size down and/or bring the pitch in a bit. The football can be slow but you do see some brilliant play at times. The goalies are atrocious and it is quite amazing how bad they are.

    It could, though.

The number of girls in England who will want to play football after this tournament, especially if they win it, will be insane. Saw a Manchester Utd player on Twitter earlier saying in the village next to where she stays, they're in the process of forming a new girls team with three age groups due to the interest over the last few weeks.

It always sound slike cliched pish but it genuinely is massive.

Historically, goalies have been the weakest part of women's football. But throughout this tournament, the standard of goalkeeping has been very high. Last night was poor from the Sweden keeper but games like that happen.

The Dutch goalie in particular was outstanding this tournament. England keeper as well has been impressive.

Nope, just like their male team, hope england get fecked. It's all we would be seeing and listening to on the tv and radio for days while the real news worthy articles are put on the back burner

I disagree, good goal but if Messi had done that then it would have been the goal of the decade.

England are by far the best team but l'll keep my fingers crossed

That big centre half for France could do a turn for a guys team, she's like Bobo's wee sister
