He’s not had nearly enough football to be properly judged.

Problem is he probably never will.

 

Not looking like a great addition so far. Not played for months right enough and may just take time to catch up, but so far he's not setting the tadger to stauner mode. Maybe a loan with more game time guaranteed would do him a world of good because I don't see him getting a lot of game time for us this season.

 

Worrying if that’s the case. Not doubting Mooy’s ability but I can’t see him being as mobile as McGregor for starters.

McGregor isn’t even a natural 6 but has learned to play the role. Mooy is an 8 / 10.

My preference would be to sign a CDM but it’s looking very unlikely.

No need for a lot of these comments. He was very far from the worst on the pitch yesterday and worked his backside off (Jota must have been wearing an invisibility cloak) think a few on here have decided that what we need is a cdm and can't see past it. Such a disparity between how he actually performed and this barage of negativity. It's like Guchi is being willed to fail because if he makes an impression on the team the dream of a cdm gets more distant than it already is.

 

Would like to see him playing with our strongest team on the park,it would make a difference imo

I think he'll slot in fine as a sub or injury cover in a proper strength 11 rather than a completely disjointed b team like we're seeing here. Doubt he'll be pushing to start most games, we've got too many good options ahead of him for CM right now, but maybe he'll take on more of a Bitton role last season to come on and just be tidy with the ball, keep things ticking over closing out games if/when one of our midfielders are looking a bit gassed, rather than running them into the ground like the first half of last season when the squad was thin.

 

This would be a good return for him, as he's less likely to be rash and draw reds like Bitton did sometimes under pressure

 

i think hes a steady eddie, a 7/10 every game type player, and is a basic version of calum, he can do a bit of everything, but his job will be to step in when weve won a game and are giving some players a rest due to the massive amount of games we'll be playing.

i dont see him ousting mcgregor hatate turnbull or oriley so i think hes backup or there incase of injuries hes gonna be ahead of mcarthy and soro, i think he could play all across the midifeld aswell
