    Given Ange's time working with him with the Australian national team you have to assume that he feels there is a role for him that he can play at Celtic. The fact he knows our league as well is another bonus so hopefully settling in should not be an issue. Interesting that it is a 2 year deal as well as most reports I had read suggested at most 1 year.

    He'* a beeauuutyyy! Really and truely! It swerved magnificently! Fantastic! And true contact! And a goal he thoroughly deserves!

    Right now this guy is my favourite player. Written off before he's even kicked a ball. He's going to prove everyone wrong like Ange had to and be a complete and total success at Celtic!

    Concerned about his lack of pace and the fact he's barely played football in a couple of months and is going on 32.

    That aside, I think he will do a decent job. Unfortunately what we need is more than just a decent job and I think this is our lot for midfield now, going by reports.

    Another McCarthy. Guy who looks good on paper, but ideally someone we should have signed a few seasons ago.

    I know he's moved here and signed for the local club but at least pretend to be motivated

    Funny enough, pace isn't the issue with me when it comes to Mooy.

    What I mean by that is, I wasn't expecting the Physical CDM to be pacey either. That Onana, who I was/am desperate for, doesn't look the quickest. It's more-so just signing an actual CDM, one whose main position is the number 6 role.

    I like this signing. One of our issues last season was that whenever McGregor was out (rarely) or subbed off (rarer still) our ability to play the ball out of defence, build from the back and maintain possession was greatly impacted. If Mooy's going to play backup, he can help address this much better than anybody else on our bench.

    Just because McGregor can play 50+ games a season, doesn't mean that he should. If Mooy can be trusted to fill the McGregor role in certain matches, which I'm pretty certain he can domestically at the very least, McGregor can be rested more often, and that can only be a good thing.

    Also, we don't really know how capable Hatate is at playing 90 mins. He played a lot of football last season so that could explain it, but who knows, maybe his performances this season fall off a cliff after 60 mins like they did last year. Having real quality CM cover if that's the case will be important.
