    Ask yourself this, would Mooy be getting linked to us, at all, if he wasn't Australian?

    It's a lazy signing overall. I love the big man, but Mooy isn't the type of player we need.

    He’s 32 in 2 months time mate * sake, for a midfield player that’s a fair age, he hasn’t ever been a player i’d want us to look at for a start, he was bang average at his best.

    I’ve seen him play a couple of years ago, he was bang average then.. he’s now nearly 32 years of age. * pish signing, really shows our ambition.

    We’re no signing him simply because his nationality is Australian ffs, obviously he’s worked with Ange before and more importantly Ange clearly signing a guy he wants.

    This is not a BAD signing by any stretch of the imagination…

    If he's free, picking up about £20kpw, we have only a 1yr deal, with the extension at OUR bequest... Ok! Not proud of it, but it's another able body to bulk up the squad.

    But he's not a replacement or improvements on anyone in any of the areas where we NEED to get someone in. Much more a low-cost, low-risk gamble, and we'd still need to cover the essentials

    Looks like Mooy is going to have to prove 95% of the forum wrong similar to how Ange proved 95% of the forum wrong.

    Good player and decent signing on a free. I get that he's not the Souza-type many of us were hoping for, but the comparisons to the McCarthy signing are way off. Mooy can play football for a start.

    Hes going to be the player Tommy Gravesen should have been for us.

    He brings in experience and we have just shelled out big bucks to retain two of the best players in the league last season. Not every signing can be of that ilk. Ange knows him inside and out.

    Right but that’s not what the point is, the point is you’d think our fans would have learned that Ange’s judgement is usually spot on in these matters, especially for a guy that he knows very well, so what’s he done that makes you think he doesn’t know what he’s doing with this one?

    Fair enough mate, but this just reeks (in my opinion) of ange having a list of targets in that position and we haven’t been able to get any of his main targets, so we’re stuck with Aaron Mooy. Hope he ends up playing out his skin here of course but i just can’t see it.
