Got my 3rd red letter through the door, ok. Been over 2 years nkw since i stopped paying. Shove it.

 

just go online and declare your don’t need one… the letters will stop… they are assuming you are just refusing to pay (true or not) but you can just confirm you don’t watch/record live tv or use iPlayer…

I saw today that a lot of people were saying the license is good value. Baffling how brain dead some of these people really are.

 

BBC should really be a proscription channel now and give the public a choice if they want to watch it .
Just because you buy a new television my details are given to the BBC to hound me to buy a license.

Who knows with the way government is going in the U.K.. but the current turned were squaring up to cut the BBC loose and do away with the tv tax …. Hopefully won’t get abandoned.

If people really want to watch bbc output then they should be happy to pay more for it… after all they pay £13 a month at present presumably… But they shouldn’t be subsidised by those who have to pay for it when they don’t even watch it.

 

Not paid it for years. Keep getting letters through which go through a cycle of repeating themselves regarding an investigation blah blah blah…. Originally had my name on them but now is just the householder. Every letter gets binned. Never had anyone come to the house regarding it, well not when I’ve been in anyway. If they do come calling someday the best thing to do is not say a word to them and shut the door on them, they don’t know who you are so nothing they can do. It's how most countries do publicly funded tv/radio, just take it straight from tax revenue, we're actually one of the rare ones in having the choice to opt out.

 

What does Linakar do on the BBC apart from match of the day? I can't think I've seen him do much else.

That’s a weird way of looking at it. By opt out you mean get big threatening red letters and scum doorstopping you and wanting to invade your privacy?

Fine for us young(ish) yin’s who can look after ourselves. What about shy folk, older folk etc who are being bullied to pay it? Doesn’t seem like much of a choice to me. Where is the letter that says if you don’t want this sign here?

TV license cant do anything until they know your name, hence all the "To The Legal Occupier"!!
