    Ah okay mate.

Their fans seem to think the club wouldn’t be interested in a loan with no option to buy and that they already have a couple of suitable DM options in the squad even with Carvahlo leaving anyway.

Paul Akouokou (24) Ivory Coast international
    Guido Rodriguez (28) Argentina international
    Edgar Gonzalez (28) CB/CDM

Also have Andres Guadrado who seems a bit of an all rounder type that can play DM, although he’s getting on a bit now.

Guadrado converting to DM is one of the most impressive changes of position I’ve ever seen btw, he had nothing more than being one of the fastest players I’ve ever seen when he was on the wing, had half decent end product but he was just Agathe fast. Now he’s a slow technical midfielder.

Him and Joaquin as well, fair play man. Impressive.

I think we still are but it's admittedly getting boring for me now.

We are on the position where we can for once kind of afford to wait but also at the same time I'd rather get a solution soon.

We might miss the window on other targets.

Again an absolute rid neck for the red tops though. 8 hrs ago it was "OFF" now they've reverted. *.

I think we’ll know by Friday either way and have a new defensive mid in for next Saturday either way

If we’ve learnt anything from the PSV story it’s that the SMSM know just as much as we do regarding this.

Celtic's pursuit of Vinicius Souza has taken a fresh twist as his agents denied he has agreed to join PSV, according to reports in the Netherlands.

Ange Postecoglou has been keen to land the Lommel midfielder, 23, this summer and the Hoops have held talks with his representatives in that regard. However, the Parkhead club also warned him they weren't prepared to wait for him to make up his mind over whether to make the move to the Premiership-champions.

The Brazilian certainly had plenty of options with both Fenerbahce and Real Betis being credited with an interest in acquiring his services. And any hope Celtic had of winning the race for his signature appeared to be dashed today when reports elsewhere claimed Souza had made the decision to join Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven instead. However, reports in the Netherlands have now put a fresh twist in the tale between Celtic and the midfielder

According to Dutch reporter Rik Elfrink, Souza's agents have denied that he has made any such decision regarding PSV.

Instead, they reportedly claim that while the player has not yet made his decision, he will make up his mind by the end of this week.

Souza has been training at the home of Manchester City this summer as owners City Football Group also have Lommel on their books.

It now only remains to be seen where he will end up in the coming weeks.

Based purely on the absolute supposition of the rumours banding around, my gut feeling is that the player wants this move but that his agent(s?) are trying to squeeze everything imaginable out of this window, and we're having none of it. Pretty much feels like we've gone as far as we want to, know it should probably be enough for the player but will move on soon if they're gonna take the *, which in fairness is right because we have preseason/CL to prep for.

It'd be a shame if we lost our on such an apparent good fit, who's keen, over silly wrangling; but for once I'm with the board on this... Their decisiveness on the other transfers seems to suggest they're not the one's holding this up...

Player's ultimately have the final say though..

If a player is dead set on going somewhere....surely the agent doesn't try everything to put them off and have the big say in it?

I'm no just talking about Souza either....in general..

Find it strange when you see talk of players wanting moves but agent's don't. Surely you could sack *'s off for that?

I get your thinking mate, anyone who doesn’t sign for us i feel the same. However psv have as much European history as us, more recently as well they’re a better side. Better league, better weather. Can’t really blame the *, sadly.

Better weather? Lived in Groningen for a year and if anything the weather over there is worse than Scotland!

PSV rumour was rubbished instantly mate.

I’m not ITK or that but from all the info out there at the moment it seems like we’re still in the running but there’s a sticking point on the type of deal it’ll be.

We want option to buy and they just want a one year loan. Maybe we’ll meet in the middle with a buy back clause - like City have done with Lavia and Bazunu.

We’ll find out by the end of the week either way, SURELY!

Been to Amsterdam twice which is further north than Eindhoven and it’s always been mid 20s. Maybe I’ve just been over at a good time?
