Really excited for the Norwich game. Will be my little man’s first. My mum showed me the way, now time for me to show him the way.

Think the wife is even coming. Family day out at Celtic Park.

They usually do a free monthly trial around the start of the season. Usually closer to when the Scottish sides play their European qualifiers.

No sure the timing of those this year as they don’t affect us :34:

It has been a busy few weeks for those of Ange Postecoglou’s squad who spent time on international duty.

Thirteen players in total rounded off the 2021/22 campaign with their nations at senior and under-21s levels.

Stars such as Giorgos Giakoumakis and Liel Abada had a significant impact on their international teams. Whilst both Callum McGregor and Josip Juranovic played every single minute of Scotland and Croatia’s four fixtures.

For those who spent June with their countries, it appears they will have a little more time to rest before coming back into the fold for the training camp in Austria in the first week of July.

Speaking in the aftermath of Croatia’s brilliant 1-0 victory over World Cup holders France, Celtic defender Josip Juranovic shared he has more time off before getting back to club duties.

The 26-year-old previously opened up about tired he was due to featuring in all four games and stated that he ‘can’t wait’ for the opportunity to rest up after a busy campaign for both club and country.

He said [Sport Klub]: “We will see everything after the break, we will try to rest well, and in September, we will do everything in our power. I have a rest for two weeks, I can’t wait,” Juranovic concluded.

It’s been a tough, long season for a lot of these players.

With the international break now coming to an end, the next few weeks will provide those involved with a good chance to rest ahead of another hectic season to come

The majority of Postecoglou’s squad will be going through their first full pre-season under the Celtic manager this summer, so it is bound to be another gruelling few weeks when they return at the beginning of July.

They are more likely to feature in the later pre-season friendlies though, with the initial fixtures on the 6th and 9th of next month probably coming too soon for some of them.

They will be raring to go when they do make their return and we can’t wait to see them in action.

I remember in the early 90s it was just a tour of Ireland every pre season and maybe the occasional friendly against Man United. That was it.

Although I do remember Tommy Burns' first season we played Flamengo from Brazil at Hampden Park

Celtic’s 2022/23 campaign will get underway on 6th July in a pre-season match against SC Wiener Viktoria in Bad Erlach, Austria.

The Austrian club have published the information on their official website.

Matches against Rapid Vienna, Banik Ostrava, Blackburn Rovers, Legia Warsaw and Norwich City have all already been confirmed, but the first opponent had remained elusive until now.

Wiener Viktoria play in Austria’s regional leagues and are also currently preparing for the new season. They will have played three friendlies by the time the Bhoys come calling.

The match won’t be played at Viktoria’s home stadium, but near Celtic’s training camp, at the home of SV Bad Erlach, which is about a 50-minute drive away from Vienna

It will take place on Wednesday 6th July at 6:30pm local time, which is 5:30pm Celtic Park time.

Three days later, Ange Postecoglou’s Bhoys will take on old foes Rapid Vienna at their home stadium on 9th July before moving on to Czechia for the fixture against Banik Ostrava on 13th July.

Then, home supporters will get a chance to watch Celtic in action against Blackburn Rovers on 16th July before another trip away to Legia for Artur Borcu’s big goodbye on 20th July.

The final test will come at home to Norwich City on 23rd July, the weekend before the Scottish Premiership kicks off with a flag day against Aberdeen at Paradise.
