The club announced CCV while he was away, Jota could have been announced already, clearly the deal is not over the line.

 

A more physical defensive or box midfielder wouldn’t go amiss but I wouldn’t write someone off from their stature alone. Agree about the centre backs I love CCV but if we are in the market for another CB I’m hoping it is someone with height.

In other areas of the pitch though in midfield in particular a smaller player can make up for their stature in aggression, positioning and pace. I guess you can be vulnerable from set pieces though if your first 11 lacks height

 

Which we were a fair few time's last season. Although we got much better at that..
