Sure. If that’s how you want to word it, go for it. You’re the one bleating on about sources, so let’s see your source for Celtic’s option to buy being at a pre-agreed fee and payment schedule, with predetermined bonuses. Spoiler alert; you won’t find one.

That’s not what you initially said.

    In your opinion.

All that should have needed ironed out was his contract. The loan to buy was in place so if Tottenham want to move the goalposts last minute take it to uefa.
Players happy here we've got a deal in place....keep him home

We have no idea what agreement was in place, it’s been variably reported during the season anywhere between £4.5m and £10m

Again, you are the one who has come along and made a claim that is against what is being reported, so naturally the onus should be on you to back that up. So far you provided nothing to suggest theres an ounce of truth in your claims. You expect people to believe that directors and CEOs make gentleman's agreements over multi million pound deals. Totally delusional.

You are right its not what I initially said as I had to rephrase and elaborate on it for you.

Seems a bit of a guesser based on that one below, but fingers crossed.

But if an agreement was in place that's what I mean.
Spurs have loaned us a player with an option to buy which probably would be a fixed figure.

Probably being the key word there. We have no idea if an agreed fee was in place or we just had first option, given the deadline of until 5th June and the erratic figures being reported all season I’d think first option was there and not an agreed fee.

It would have been written into the loan contract with any bonuses and add ons included at the time. Its the whole purpose of an option to buy so that there is incentive for the receiving club.

Theres not chance that Daniel Levy is turning his back on potentially taking in millions more pounds from another club to honour an unwritten gentleman's agreement. Not even Charles Green would conduct his business like that.

Well I trust my mate a lot more than I trust the mainstream media, but I guess we’ll just wait and see.

You say that you trust the mainstream media and that multimillion pound deals being made by gentlemen’s agreement is a delusional idea, yet those two things can’t coexist. There’s been instances proven in the last two years alone where deals of far higher significance and value have been made my gentlemen’s agreement (e.g. government contracts relating to track and trace, FFP equipment etc). Yet you think it’s unrealistic for a last minute loan deal to have been conducted like that? Especially when Spurs had told us last summer exactly what fee they were looking for to sell CCV permanently then? Have a word with yourself.

No, it was the polar opposite of what you initially said :50:

    Have a good day :bye1:

The tile order is promising (never thought I’d say that), but it could also be the case that he’s one of these shrewd footballers who buys up property wherever they go to build a portfolio.

Delighted if he signs. Anyone any idea what the deal with his wages are? Sure he was on 60k/week at Spurs, no chance we'll be paying anything close to that.

Don't believe for a second that Spurs were paying him anything like £60kpw, never mind us... I'd imagine he was on about £15-20kpw at Spurs and he'll get about £20-25kpw here.

Total guesswork on my part, but I'd be surprised if it's far off for a PL squad player and one of our better (not highest paid!) ones
