The most predictable performance and result ever. Just knew as soon as Spurs beat them that they'd fold in this game as well.

    Spineless *.

Completely fell apart since he got injured.

This is them without any European football as well and no deep runs in the cup this year. Just gave Arteta a new long term deal last week.

Conte with CL football to atttact a couple of players at Spurs and Ten Hag going in to rebuild United. Struggle to see where they go from here to be honest.

    Good points there.

Expecting Man United and Spurs to improve a fair bit next season but don’t think either will split the top 2 yet.

Chelsea losing Rudiger but with the CL income they’ll no doubt splash out on a good replacement, maybe Kounde.

Would expect them all to be ahead of Arsenal either way.

Arsenal’d it massively, they were linked with a few decent players as well but get the feeling it was dependent on CL football.

I think Arteta has done quite a good job there tbf. Said the other day, but look at the state of that squad. They only really have a handful of big talents - Tierney, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli and Smith-Rowe. Partey is good but constantly injured. Same goes for Tomiyasu.

Think if they had one player on the same level as Kane or Son they'd have comfortably made top 4.

Arsenal had everything going for them this year though. No cup runs, no Europe. Chelsea in disarray with the Abramovich stuff. Utd being a complete mess with Rangnick going in and basically blowing the Club up from boardroom to the dressing room.

And Conte only took over Spurs in November and their squad is a complete joke.

I think Arteta is a decent coach but think giving him a new long term deal was utterly mental when they only had basically a week to see if he could get them over the line. Conte’s interview after the game on Thursday spoke volumes. He knew Arteta and Arsenal were imploding.

Yep. Chances were already slim to begin with but have to think tonight has stopped them even getting to the table with players like Nunez, Gnabry, Nkunku etc.

I agree with Carragher I think long term this is an absolute killer for them. Unless Kreonke just suddenly decides now he’s finally won a Super Bowl he’s going to fling mental money at Arsenal…

Five CL places in the EPL I think next year so that would mean another club pulling away infront of them.

This is all worst case scenario but I just don’t really see how they change this with Arteta at the helm unless they fling stupid money at it.
Klopp and Pep are in a league of their own but he’s nowhere near Conte, Tuchel or Ten Hag as a coach for me either.

Southampton up, a loss gives the title to Man City, a draw practically does. Still think Liverpool will win tonight though

    Couple of massive games tonight.

Everton win and they stay up. (anything less and it they are involved in it at the weekend)

Burnley lose and it is out of their hands as they go into the last game a point behind Leeds.

Burnley draw effectively takes it out of Leeds hands because of the GD.

Everton 2-0 down at home to Edouard(sub)’s Crystal Palace. Would love for them to go down but think Leeds or Burnley will

Unreal comeback. Mental scenes at the end.

Happy they’ve stayed up. One of the few real clubs left in that league.

Vieira is quite right. This new trend of pitch invasions every other game is * embarrassing and needs sorted.

That's two players been assaulted in the last few days.

Aye I like their support. Would've been funny watching them go down though with Lampard. Leeds are gone..

    They're a proper club 100% though..

Aye just seeing it there above. Rate him massively for that. He's proper..

Supposedly Swindon players assaulted and spat at last night after Port Vales play off semi final win. Said it other day after Nottingham one but it’s needs to stop. Absolute * patter, ruins the celebrations after and more importantly puts away players and staff in danger.

On the assumption that it's harder to win a League over the course of a season than it is to win a cup, why do we think it is that City have never won the CL ?

Pep’s overthinking in the latter stages.

Feel like every big game in the latter stages he’ll do something random. There was an article going through his losses and how he tried to change something and it completely backfired. Dropping Rodri for last years final, dropping De Bruyne against Spurs, playing almost a 442 at Anfield, playing 5 at the back against Lyon at the last minute after working on a 433 basically up until kick off. Was massive rumours after that the players went mental about it.

Some teams/styles set cup football better but I think if Pep played City like they do in the league and domestic cups they’d already have a CL.

I'd say it's harder to win the CL than EPL to be honest

What's the odds that if Leeds stay up it will be spun as a masterstroke they sacked Bielsa when they did, however if Burnley stay up it will have been a masterstroke they sacked Dyche when they did ? Both can't happen.
