Could make a mistake or two but was always a great player to have in your team and one who never moaned when he as asked to play out of position. Good luck big man

 

Always liked him.

Slotted in wherever asked and did what was asked. Mistakes here and there but big performances too.

Should go somewhere he’ll be a first team regular. Great servant for the club.

 

It’s a shame to see him go, as I’ve always quite liked him. He’s one of those guys that’s been around so long that it’ll be weird not seeing him involved anymore.

All things considered, it’s probably not a bad note to go out on. He helped reclaim the league title, put in some good performances (after returning to his natural position), helped Abada settle in and even captained the side a few times. I’ve mentioned it a couple of times on here, but I’ve been impressed with his leadership when he’s had the armband, particularly during the Betis game. He’s shown a level of maturity this season that I’ve never really expected from him.

I suppose its not entirely unexpected when you’ve been at a club for the better part of a decade, and effectively the majority of your senior career, but he seemed genuinely upset to be leaving in the video the club put out. It seems like he’s really taken the club to heart - which is always to nice.

I can’t say I’m too clued up on the Israeli league, assuming he is heading home, but he’s surely going to be one of the more experienced players in that league? Hopefully he can land himself a decent role somewhere.

A real quality player. I’ll miss him and tomorrow will be a day of mixed emotions for all Celtic fans with himself and Tom departing. A part of me is definitely excited by it as well though. These are two players who will need to be replaced and I’m itching to see who those replacements will be.

 

Never moaned when not in the side and always ready when needed . Good luck Nir you have been a loyal servant

 

Think they need to go to be able to continue this rebuild. Think we may sign a few more than we thought now aswel. We've done this well and still need to sign 6 players. CCV+jota, Bitton, tam and a LB and another. Exciting, especially the way every player turns to a star than ange touches. What a man.

 

Who’s going to get needlessly booked in our squad now? Ideguchi?

It was the right time for him to go, but I'm happy he's going on good terms.

Will always be a "what if" with Bitton. Rodgers and Lennon completely misused him. Aye he wasn't perfect this season but you can tell he's a solid midfielder.

Thanks, Nir. You've been a big part of our success over the years. He got us out of jail in defence many a time and, when in midfield, scored some beauties. Good luck with everything in the future.

What a servant this guy has been. He probably had another level in him that was never realised here, but he was the perfect squad player. Clearly a great person too.

Its very rare you get foreign players like Bitton and Rogic come to Celtic and stay for 10 years. They both came here as wee boys, they leave grown men with their own families and have multiple medals and memories to show for it.
