Rogic's a weird one. I'll miss him for the moments of pure class he could bring to the team, and for all the great successes he's been part of.

However I'll be glad to see the back of his disappearing act during tough matches. There's been some games where we've been struggling and I've forgot he was on the pitch.

Still, the invincible treble goal :shamrock:

I think we can do better than Bitton. Albeit he's a useful enough squad player and I'd rather be getting rid of * like Ajeti, Barkas etc.

Rogic, on the other hand, will be painful.

Luxury player that we can not afford to have in Europe never turns up for those games and that’s a fact

At this moment in time my starting MF would be

    Bitton
    CalMac Rogic

So that's two of my starters about to be moved on, I do agree however that we need a Wanyama type to replace Bitton and a more athletic, energetic and mobile player than Rogic for Europe, however I wouldn't be letting either of them leave

Thank * you're not. The team needs more pace and mobility in it, not less.

A midfield 3 containing those two, in Europe, would be suicidal.

I agree we need better for Europe, but domestically Bitton, CalMac and Rogic would have been absolutely fine, definitely wouldn't be letting Bitton or Rogic go

Gutted. Has to be his one choice no way we didn’t offer him a contract and offered Forrest one he’s still a class player.

Hopefully it's an indication Ange is dead serious about taking us up a level in Europe. Our midfield has been a problem for a while.

The lack of pace in that midfield. Be overrun most week's..

This Ange side is all about never stopping and pressing, 100 miles an hour stuff..

We've seen against the huns and Bodo, what happens when you have player's in there who can't do the running..

For most games, aye. But what's the point?

The midfield 3 that starts European games would also be starting the vast majority of domestic games as well. We're needing another midfielder or two as it stands anyway, which would push Bitton down to about 7th choice. May as well let him go in that case.

As for Rogic, O'Riley looks more than capable of replacing him. He's already the better option.

Bitton was/is in the awkward spot where he's had an alright season, but we need better in his position. With him potentially leaving it allows us to bring in a top quality CDM as a replacement, with Ideguchi as back-up.

Same with Rogic really, I understand why people would want to keep him, but him leaving will give us

    A - A decent transfer fee
B - A good chunk off our wage bill
C - An opportunity to sign a top quality replacement, without the worry of squad bloat.

Forrest is a different story from the other two, I wouldn't be giving him a 3 year deal, but that deal most likely has him on half (maybe less) his current wages, he's a home-grown player and is still good enough domestically.

It’s a tough one but it probably is the right time if he indeed is going. Get the young lad from Bayern in and Rogic leaves on a high.

He was great at home to Man City, away to Gladbach, away to Anderlecht, and in key qualifiers like Hapoel Beer Sheva to get us to the Champions League in the first place.

That’s only off the top off my head, only in the CL, and not including some stand out performances in the Europa League, but I suppose it’s easier to just say that he’s never turned up and that it’s a fact.

I honestly think most of our fans just base their memories of players on throwaway myths and conjecture rather than what actually happened on the park.

Loads of players get over or under rated over the years with equal measure with absolutely nothing to back it up.

Dont understand why he would leave before a CL campaign seems like strange timing. Deosnt make sense from players point of view. Wouldnt you wait one more season?

And from our point of view hes more than good enough to be a squad player.

Would probably need to be that Scott and a more established player for me..

Replacing Rogic's quality with just an inexperienced youngster in Scott would be a gamble..

We need Tom Rogic. There wouldn't have been Europa League football at Parkhead this season were it not for his run, his cross, against AZ Alkmaar this season.

The goal at Ibrox. He's a magician. I supported him even when the chips were down and it went * up last season. Offer him a 1 year contract extension at the very least.

I think the depth is there, with Ideguchi we have Hatate, O’Reilly, McGregor and Turnbull all able to play in that box to box role. I’d even like to see Kyogo given a chance in there as well.
