You can tell they know it's an unpopular decision because they snuck it through while everybody is still buzzing from the league win.

Happy for this on reduced terms, he could've left at this height for decent money but stayed. Maybe he's over his injuries and ready for the challenge of adapting considering his age. Also we need a certain number of homegrown and academy players in the CL - rather him than MJ.

It's good to see a bit of loyalty in return from the club tbh. Possibly a longer deal than we expected, but I've no problem with the news. He just needs to up his game when called upon now.

It’s good to have that experience around. He won’t rock the boat at not being first pick and will be a positive influence around Lennoxtown and the dressing room. He won’t be first pick though and I’m sure he knows that. Jimmy probably insisted on not being a starter with the workload Ange expects. It’s a young mans game :giggle1:

Why would it be unpopular to have experience like that in the bench or squad going forward?

He won’t - and I’m sure he is well aware - be a first pick going forward.

He’s only 30, no like he’s a mad tunnocks Griffiths, 3 years deal be33 , no where near that old for a player nowadays, good influence on the youngster s, maybe need to adapt his game a bit as not the same turn off pace anymore, be same as lubo was when we signed, not that I’m comparing lol

Broony was done for about 6 years before he actually left. Armchair Ancelottis man. Bane of my life.

Definitely ,need players who are quite happy to be fringe players and come in and do a job when required, Bitton a prime example of that last few years

Same with Lustig when he was apparently done before getting a new contract. Having experience and positivity on the training field is just as important as you first 11. Harmony Sunday to Friday at Lennoxtown is just as important as game day. I’m sure Ange has touched on this previously.

Not sure on this one, he will be on decent money and no Scottish club can offer him the money he is currently on, I doubt if a championship club would take a chance on him now as his best days are probably behind him. Does he justify the money he on to be a bench member?
    I don’t know.

    Depends on his wages tbh.

He does play his part overall but to a much lesser extent. His experience is invaluable though.

Happy for all he's given the club but would've preferred his wages going towards a younger winger. Just feel on the games he's played this season he'll not offer a lot going forward, it's evident he's lost a good bit of pace which he almost solely relied on.

I think if we want to make our mark in Europe this is the sort of stuff we should avoid l. Would love to eat my words though.

Not sure mate... I think 15 after the United game..

I was fairly certain he'd be punted end of this season.. Didnt think Ange fancied him..
