James Forrest

Every manager who has managed James Forrest have rated him very highly, Ange is no different. James Forrest is a quality player simple as that.

 

Seems a bit ridiculous.

 

I wonder if he took a pay cut.

 

Any of you fancy taking a minute to consider the possibility that he'll be on less wages? Or that his experience alone is worth having in the squad?

It's not football manager we're playing here, show the man some respect ffs.

 

He is pretty much guaranteed to become our most decorated player if he sees out the contract..,

 

We are far to loyal. We would have Brown still here on a decent wage if he didn’t want to leave. He’s been miles off it last 2 seasons and isn’t going to be a first team regular in the future. Can see why they announced it today.

Love the guy and he’s been a fantastic servant but it should’ve been time to move on.

 

Even if he drops down to 10k a month it’s still a waste for someone that’ll be injured or a sub, and has lost his yard of pace…a 1 year extension on reduced wages I could understand but cmon 3 years ffs

 

The guy has been amazing for us over the years and deserves a testimonial and to go down as a Celtic great but when your time is up it’s up and that looked the case for him this season. Hope he gets the extra 3 goals and 2 assists to take him to 100 each before he finishes with us

 

Surprised at that, expected him to see out his contract as is, maybe a year extension at a push, another three seems a bit much for what he's shown recently.

So you all know better than Ange about what Forrest can bring to the team? And are dictating to the manager who he should and should not have as part of the squad?

I despair at times with our support honestly.

Tell me what he has shown in the last 2 years on the pitch that deserves a 3 year contract

 

You think people would learn to not call it so quickly. This time last year Calmac was done, Rogic was done, * Joe Hart was ‘done’ before signing him as well.

Big vote of confidence from Ange, proper pre-season and he’ll get the best out of him next season.

 

agree the McCarthy deal was mental and this deal for Forrest is nearly as mental I would have given him another year at least and we seem to * money down the drain when we could use this money on new signings .

 

1 major difference here is Ange had approved this deal. Mccarthy was a Desmond signing

 

Not sure i’ve ever heard or read anyone saying Calmac is done
