i have slagged him in the past but he is winning me over - never doubted his heart or effort ( same with Ralston ) but abilty wise we do need better options

Keep going son, maybe you will surprise us all

He’s the type of player will just keep improving down to his hard work, grafts like *. Just ashame he’s not got the physical side cause he could be some player if he did.

Exactly. Both he and Ralston have been great this season in terms of drive and endeavour. Something which is of great value. But we still need better than Taylor at left back going forward from this season to take us to that next level in Europe etc.

Thought him and Maeda were brilliant today. Taylor looked like he had a proper engine on him this afternoon, Something a few in our team could do with.

I'd still like to see us sign a left back a step above where he is right now, but he no longer looks out of place games like today. CL football, that's probably another story, but like Ralston has a definite part to play here.

From what I seen of the 2nd half he was excellent, was bombing forward in the 90th minute. Totally won me over with his performances and has played a huge part in the league win this season and after a shoulder injury. Well played son. Do I think to reach the next level do we need better? Yes but there's a place for Taylor to play his part in our team next season.

    Still the same.

LB needs to be signed this summer. Think he could be left brutally exposed in Europe.

    Got to love his attitude..

But, we need better, its all very well saying he's excellent backup until you need to play the backup in the CL..

May be harsh, but we need a LB and hopefully another who can play either side..

This fella will be raging when the league season ends, he's been flying of late, can't recall the last time he had a bad game? I would also love to see his assists stats for the season?

Credit where its due he's improved greatly this year and who's to say that won't continue!

I would like to add at this point, these views are from someone who wanted him punted and thought he was useless in every game.

Well done Greg when you get your winners medal next week you can be safe in the knowledge that you earned it ..........

He's been one of our best players after the winter break and he still can't win people over. I can't get my head around that. Taylor is four or five years off his peak and is already very close to what Juranovic is now on the right side of the defence.

We don't need an upgrade on him, we need a decent backup if he gets injured. Hopefully Montgomery or Scales can step up, but thats a big ask.

It's not harsh JC, it's reality and necessary if we want to get to the next level

He's improved massively, no doubt. But he still lacks physically. Wee, not particularly strong and not quick. Look what Solbakken did to him. When he's up against a decent winger with a bit of pace about them, he tends to struggle.

Juranovic at least has the pace to deal with that.

If we want to improve on Taylor we need to be incredibly lucky on the transfer market, spend an insane amount of cash on proved talent or hope that some kind of KT reincarnation makes the grades through our youth set up in record time.

No we don't. Juranovic, Kyogo, Hatate, Maeda, Giakoumakis, O'Riley, Abada, Hart and Starfelt cost a combined £22m. There'll be left backs kicking about at the £3m mark who are better than Taylor, out in the continent or beyond.

He's still the weak link in our team and can absolutely be improved upon.
