As already said, should be going for this boy regardless of whether Jota stays or not. He just seems like a perfect fit for us.

Solbakken can't be on much of a wage and even though his agent will be aware of interest elsewhere, I think you could get him for £15k a week -ish.

No brainer if we can do that deal. Especially if Karamoko and Johnston might be moved on in the summer.

 

He will almost certainly be waiting to find out if he is in Benfica's first team plans for next season before making up his mind whether to leave them or not. Which is understandable. Annoying from our perspective, as that likely won't happen until the end of the season, but understandable from his.

 

Wish it wasn't "one or the other". Imagine Jota and Solbakken on the wings, with Maeda and Abada as our back-ups? Would be fantastic.

 

Solbakken should be forrest or johnstons replacement , devlin says te athletic have mention outwith jota and Ccv that we wasn a lb , ball playing cb and a rw who scores and assists goals so might be aswell as jota, refreshing to have a manager who see’s what wee need and reacts rather than buying for positions we dont require

 

I honestly dont think jota will stay, benfica realise they made a * if it including that price tag. They will promise him games.

the thing with "Angeball" is that he doesn't want just back up. With the high intensity of the game played, 60+games a season, injuries etc, means all 4 of those players could easily still play 30 games a season and have good rotation.

Those 4 sound incredible. And for something like £2million it is a complete steal. The amount of £2million here and there over the years has been utter *. This is a bargain....who someone has mentioned....plays our style anyway
