Anthony Ralston

Pretty much this, the same happened back in January iirc. Ralston was out the team for a bit, and when he came back in he looked very off it. Then after playing a few games he was fantastic again.

He's not a player you can just throw on and expect and 8/10 performance imo, which is a bit of an issue if he's going to be back-up, but he's done more than enough this season to have some leeway.

Don't really understand it tbh. Shouldn't need a couple of games to get going, unless you've been out a number of weeks with injury.

 

I have no issues at all about Ralston if he has to play the rest of the season. The guy was immense for us before Juranovic nailed down the position.

We have far bigger issues than RB.

 

Jura’s out for the run in then, Ralston started the season on fire, he’s stood up at times when Jura replaced him, I’m a one man fan club for oor Tony Bhoy.

But I’m 100% sure there’s going to be a 6 game masterclass for the run in, he’s a place to win for Scotland, and he’ll be making * sure that people shouldn’t have any worries about him being in rather than JJ.

I’m sticking ma neck out and saying, 3 assists in 6 games for him in the run in. Rather fitting for me he’ll see out the title, cos he was one of the ones at the start that was making sure we’d play.

 

I think he's still on more goals and assists than JJ with 3 or 4 fewer league starts. JJ is the more technical and slicker player but there could be a possible case to be made that he's a slightly more imposing threat than JJ going forward. Particularly in the league. Lots of variables at play though.

Either way its baws to lose JJ but we've got the right man to step in.

 

Are all JJs goals from penalties? I can't remember any that aren't but could be wrong.

 

When it comes to sheer determination, he´s got few equals.
He´s taken a good few steps this season, which has been very good to see.

We need grit as much as anything else in the run-in.

Jura has two assists this season, think Ralston’s on 9/10 or so. Honestly in product wise he’s probably the most consistent player in the team at delivering the ball this year. Major upgrade final ball wise when you compare it to Jura or Taylor. Who are more guys who’ll be there to support others rather than be the guy who does it themselves.

 

I've got your back on this one.

I'm thinking we're gonna see some great performances from Ralston in the run in, and I tell ye what, he'll grab a goal against the huns at Celtic Park

 

That bit at the end nails the key difference between them and Ralston.
