Was he injured? The ideal player to bring on to calm the game down.

Would love to know why he wasn't even on the bench. If he wasn't injured you'd imagine Ange was hedging all his bets on them tiring. I think we absolutely * it with tactics today.

He would have made the difference today. To be honest the way we have been playing in big games I would start him move McGregor forward and then O'Riley. He has composure we badly missed and physicality.

I don't even want to find out if that's true or not, I'll lose my rag if it is.

Thought it was weird that the players were travelling all over the place last week when it was known we had a huge game on Sunday.

Made a point about it in the match thread.

He was the ideal player for the midfield today. We need an enforcer type player in there for next season

I think he and GG should both play in the next game against them. If he isn't injured then not having him on the bench was a big mistake.

Bitton should be the 6 with CalMac and one of Rogic/Hatate/O'Riley/Turnbull as the other attacking 8, would bring far more balance to the MF

    Bitton
    CalMac Rogic/Hatate/O'Riley/Turnbull

a year ago I would have said you were all nuts but losing him in Germany against Leverkuson cost us the game as they went and scored two goals from the 18 yard line that he had been defending all game and then he's actually been reliable when we bring him on as a sub to calm the game down and see things out, its like he's a different player now.

This is exactly how I feel about him the now too. I would have sold him in the summer but he has been excellent recently when called upon, Livi (Away), The game at Ibrox when he came on, that Leverkusen game.

Given how the others have been playing I would like to see him, McGregor and ORiley as the three vs them.

Ross County first though and we need a win there. I would be tempted to put Turnbull and ORiley in as the 8’s for that one.

Anyone know what’s happened to him ?

He’s played well for Ange for the most part, levels above Mcarthy anyway but he’s not made the bench last couple of games

He has a ‘slight issue’ from Ange pre match.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Nir Bitton’s absence from the match squad was not a tactical decision but because of a ‘slight issue’.

Bitton has made 36 appearances this season including 19 starts, becoming a firm fixture in the manager’s squads even when not in the initial eleven

However, he missed last week’s clash against Rangers at Hampden and didn’t make the trip with Celtic to the Highlands this weekend.

Niro Bitton’s got a bit of an issue,” Postecoglou told BBC Radio Scotland before kick-off. Later in the interview, he would classify it as a ‘slight’ issue.

However, what the nature of the problem is, whether illness or injury was not expanded upon.
