James Forrest

Needs a bit of time to get his fitness up. We didn't lose because of him.

 

Well may as well get rid of every * eh? They looked fitter than us all over the park

 

He never looked near fit,had to come on though as Maeda's legs had gone but he shouldn't have been on the park. Looked stiff and didn't seem to want to run. Could have had Doak or Dembele on the bench even if they are leaving.

Felt he was at fault for there 2nd goal 2day , an dine absolute nothing when he was on apart from pass it back a couple of times

And if it never went right with Dembele you’d be saying we should have played Forrest!!
We could blame the whole team because we were not at the races today. The only thing I’d say is 3 of the 5 subs have comeback from a long injury absence and Welsh, played out of position, hasn’t kicked a ball for weeks.

 

Nothing personal and not blaming Forrest for the loss , as only a few players got pass marks , but James looks finished has looked that way all season imo , if u take away his speed what's he got ?

Was towing a caravan getting back wa Bassey looked like it was McCarthy trying to get back

 

Not sure why his name is coming up, fk he wasnt on long and contributed just as much as the uselsss * on the wing before him.

 

Was actually pathetic by him, came on and jogged about or passed the ball back. Fresh legs yet done less work than Jota in extra time who had just played 90 mins.

 

Genuinly the worst display of effort iv ever seen from a sub. I'd have put dembele on first even if he is leaving. Wouldve atleast ran. Forrest runs now while the other team can jog faster. Well and truly done.

Infact these subs that we've never had to use recently was a we sign to everyone and the board by ange that no were not finished. We need more.

 

Hopefully his contract is up at the end of the season. If not then we need to sell him.

He’s ran his last race for Celtic. Overall he’s been a good servant for the club but he’s just a passenger now.

 

The thing for me was I felt Forrest looked as done as our players who had played the full game and he only came on in extra time.

He was brought on for fresh legs and we would have been as well matching up to them with a Turnbull or McCarthy and beefing up our midfield for extra time.

He has been out for a while but looks a long way from being a viable option for us.

 

His hunger is gone same as McCarthy just picking up cheques

Still don't know where this myth has come from, he lost his place coz he's been * not because he was injured.

 

That cup match against the huns was Forrest's 440th in a Celtic shirt.
Currently 26th in Top 100 appearances for Celtic but don't think he will make it into top 20th as he would need to appear in another 39 matches.
Currently top in list of current players 67 ahead of CalMac on 373.

 

His form has been terrible but Forrest hasn’t even been on the bench for most of the season. He got injured around the Alkmaar home game and then appeared again about October then was out again until the league cup semi. January again was similar and then against Livi he popped up in March and has been pretty much out from the game after since.

His form has been terrible and his legs look gone and he needs replaced in the summer.

 

Nah it's because he had a very serious injury, then more injuries following that.
