The subs he brought on just continued the desire from what I heard on the commentary, did it seem like that watching it?

Seemed like it went a 100mph. They quite literally didn't stop. Every time the ball went out the ball boys were firing it back in! The Saints had no chance.

It's the work ethic, and also the professionalism and high standards he demands. And he seems to do it by treating people like adults - setting ground rules but then trusting the players to uphold them.

One of the things I think makes Ange a special manager, and different from most others, is his ability to seemingly achieve total buy in from near everyone he works with - not just in the style of football or trying to win trophies, but more so in instilling a real desire into others to be constantly improving both as individuals and as a group.

Whenever you hear ex players speak about him and sing his praises, it's all about the "journey" he takes you on. I suspect that's why he's been so successful rebuilding clubs - because he takes over struggling teams, whether that be bottom of the league Brisbane or failed 10iar Celtic, and sets them off on a path where there's no set end goal: it's not just "let's win the league", it's "work hard, get better every day, face every challenge and see how far we can go". For a player, it must feel amazing to have a manger telling you you have the potential to be better and constantly pushing you to do so.

It's clear that Gerrard's message to that lot last season was that they had to stop the 10iar at all costs, and clearly it worked, but it then seemed like it was a case of job done. Goldson coming out this season and saying there was a lack of desire in that dressing room only reinforces that. We, on the other hand, never stop. Win the treble this year and we'll be gunning to improve on that next season.

The Big Ange Bakery would be a billion dollar business with the amount of humble pie dished out this season.

The team may need fresh blood or fresh hunger every window to keep this up...the board better give him all he needs.

I would give anything to have him here for the next 10+ years. Something very special is happening and it's down to one man.

What's our best ever domestic defensive record, and are we close to matching it? I mind Ronny's first year we set some incredible record.

Some fans may not like the playing the ball out the back but that’s a great example of how it drags 4-5 Rangers players towards the ball and creates space up the field.
