BBC apologise to Celtic

"On Friday 4 March, our Chief Sports Writer posted a tweet, relating to Celtic Football Club’s statement on the death of Shane Warne that did not meet our editorial standards.

“The tweet has been removed and we have apologised to the club for this lapse.”

Has English himself * apologised?

He basically called Celtic classless and looking to profiteer of the death of Warne. Celtic had reposted a vid of Postecoglou & Warne talking together. English claimed that because both Celtic are & Warne was sponsored by Dafabet, that Celtic were doing it to promote the sponsor, not because of the connection between Postecoglou & Warne.

Basically it was Tom English demonstrating how ignorant he is once again, this time of Australia and of Australian sport, of Melbourne as a community, of those connections that Warne & Postecoglou had, etc and was saying it was Celtic simply looking to profit & benefit their sponsor by capitalizing on the attention in the aftermath of Warne's passing.

 

Tom English is a complete *. Comes across as a kid who was mercilessly bullied at school and is now trying to enact his revenge on the world. Best ignored.

 

I don't have the same hate for Tom English that most here do (generally speaking I think he's a good writer), but he doesn't half come out with some * on Twitter. For a guy who's whole job is writing and speaking in the media you'd think he'd have a bit more sense.

Like others have asked, has he himself apologised?

You can tell Tom English is the type that sniffs his own farts.

All he’s done here is given himself yet another showing up. He’s a half-wit that thinks he’s a genius and the net result is he’s a joke to everyone - he’s either laughed at or ignored.

I suspect he is well aware of this and that’s why he tweets things like he does. An angry little man lashing out.

Don’t think there are many Celtic fans who read the Record, the sun or listen to Clyde or BBC Scotland. Why would you? You’d be as well sitting in the Louden and listening to they reptiles. Two cheeks of the same *.

Did he not embarass himself enough bigging up the "dossier" which of course turned out to be a pile of hot steaming *...

 

Yeah he was a right * about it. I thought his views were quite ironic, claiming we used Warne's death as an advertising campaign when he used his death as point scoring against us.

That's because it isn't. He very clearly doesn't feel he should have had to and is passively aggressively saying * you to everyone involved.
