Ideally United and Motherwell replace Livi and County.

But really just win our next game and they're under massive pressure to beat us at home which could play into our hands.

Any two of Dundee Utd, Ross County, St Mirren make the top 6 then it’s straightforward who we’d play home and away. Hopefully they do as would rather go to any of them than Hearts/Hibs/Livi for a third time.

Yeah they dont do well when the crowds on there back , If we go there and theres any sort of tension from the stands and we score early then they will buckle.

Not necessarily. There's potential that we could have played all 5 teams away twice. Meaning we could potentially have to go to 2 of aberdeen, hibs motherwell or Livingston twice. While huns only go once and play them at home 3 times.

Given their record v aberdeen this season not having to go away to Pittodrie again or not having to play more than once on that * plastic pitch at livi while we go there 3 times is a massive advantage that could have been easily avoided with a bit of common sense/impartiality

They have got Hearts away next game. It’s no guarantee they will get in.

To be fair I'd rather go to motherwell for a 3rd time than Ross County or St mirren. 2 tight wee horrible pitches were we've struggled this season.
    We've battered motherwell twice

I'd take a draw at their place. That leaves them with seven games (of which five away) to accumulate four more points than we do.
I wouldn't want to be in their position.

I wouldn't mind Livvy not making top six though.

I think we'll both get 3 points in the next premiership games, so after the hun match only 6 games to get 4 points as I think our gd is far to ahead of their's. I think we can beat them though. Going 6 points clear would kill the league off instantly.

They know this and I think that’s why they have apparently told us no tickets again but we will respond in kind

Genuinly hope they pull that one. We shouldve won the first game let alone this next one. Imagine the world watching the stadium empty.

How do they decide the split fixtures?

Is it the board of the SPFL?

Or is it the CEO's of each club with the SPFL?

Who decides which 3 sides we play at home?

Rules state Celtic and rangers are only club that get 19/19.

In theory Celtic should play rangers, hibs and hearts at home as we have played them twice away.

Ross county away as come split we have played them twice at home and Livingston away simply because livi came to us 3 times last season so ideally Dundee Utd get into top 6 and it’s an easy fixture list

The split should be * scrapped and you know who your playing on the up and coming fixtures and why the * we got to go back to livi again after playing them twice away it's very convenient it has to be them and who deciding that it's smells of jiggery pokery to me and would rather have the fixtures decided at the start of the season .

After the weekend, I wouldn't mind Livi making the cut.

We've clearly worked them out now, but they're a prickly lot who could conceivably take points of the huns.

I agree with this. The Split undermines the integrity of the league if home and away anomalies like these emerge. It's not just a simple - every team plays each other home and away.

I actually think the split works for our league and its size, it gives teams more to play for, for longer in the season..

We shouldn't fear going home or away to any team post split..

It is probably the only way to do it with a 12 team league. Reduce it to 10 and all the teams miss out on some extra revenue from losing a couple of fixtures ( and presumably most teams wouldn't be happy on reducing the league in the first place as two less of them are going to be in the top league.) Playing everyone four times in a 12 team league would be ridiculous for us. Just look at the fixture pile ups we already have in December and February and there is no way we could fit an extra 6 games in. I agree it also makes the league more exciting as teams have more to strive for. I also like the relegation/promotion playoffs tbh.

Lots of leagues have splits and I understand why. The top 6 all playing important games to win the league or Europe and the bottom for relegation. So I do actually like splits, but I would prefer a 14 team league, 26 games then split for 12 more.
